That's a pretty interesting thing, redditors love "cold, hard logic" and hate illogical people and ideas. Redditors blame rape victims and widows for not thinking rationally.

And yet everybody has a conspiracy theory and insane shit like "Victoria was fired because she was prettier and more liked than Pao" gets upvoted very highly indeed.

There are some subs (smaller ones) where logic, facts and reason are encouraged. On most large subs though, people already have their opinions and only like 'logical ideas' if it conforms to their opinions. I just got into it with someone on gun control who kept asking me cite everything (which I did) and spouted nothing but opinions without anything backing it up. What's worse, is that he was very critical of every study I cited by pointing out something minor in it but wasn't the least bit critical of anything he said.

Other than smaller subs where it's mostly science or historians or like minded people, redditors don't care about logic if it doesn't match their opnions

There's something to be said about communities going to shit once the general population gets a hold of it. The amount of literally insane people I've noticed over the past year is far more substantial than the ones I'd noticed in the years prior. I mean, fuck, we only "recently" went through the whole witch hunt thing with that boston bomber kid, and here we are again with Ellen Pao.

I've been a regular on reddit for about 5yrs. The site had better users than. It was more about logic and facts and reasonable views. As reddit grew, it became much more similar to YouTube and yahoo news comments. It's not as bad but certainly been trending that way

reddit was founded as a free open community that was supplied by the users. Now it's heading in the opposite direction with the admins wanting to censor and monetize the site. reddit is my favorite website to visit and seeing it slowly revert from what made it so attractive in the first place upsets me.

I find it more venting on our side. Her side being the power house its her way or the highway(Pao Expressway) She is a cunt period. I refrain from using that word but on her it applies, and her douche bag husband. She doesn't realize she works for us. Without us she has nothing. Imagine if every redditor stopped using it. Honestly I dont care about it that much. Ive only been on it for 2 months and its only used as a means to pass the time at work sanely for me. Ill move on from this site soon enough. Im sure I never had any plans on long term. Yes pigs flying etc. My comment was as grandeur as saying everyone stop buying gas for a while to drive the price down. Yes it wont happen but the though of it it could is always nice.
