Glad at least one got arrested.

As a deterrent, how would making whoever they arrest responsible for all of the damages? This is obviously a conspiracy(as in, the legal definition of such), and frequently conspiracy members are charged as if they are solely responsible for the crimes.

Can net a larger return by stacking the charges against the one remaining suspect until he flips everyone he knows. Repeat process.

The guy in the green lantern tee shirt is obviously the mastermind, playing dumb.

"WTF Green Lantern! There were, like, 50 of them! You couldn't have at least created a cage and caught a few? Not one, man. And you're supposed to be a powerful cosmic enforcer. Pathetic."

Holy shit, they only caused $2000 in damage? I thought for sure they would have caused more. Honestly they should have hit the alcohol aisle, that shit adds up quickly.

I like how the one black girl in pink ran in and stopped to debate whether she wanted the watermelon or not.

Unfortunately you are not wrong. When I saw the original article posted I said to myself, "please don't be black". Oh... black. The I said to myself, "well they can't all be black". Wrong again.

I live in maine so shit like this just doesn't happen. But the few tumblr posts I've seen that blame everything on white people makes me salty. Stop being a thug and try and better yourself and your community. Fuckin shit. We can only help them so much. At some point they are gonna have to take the reigns and fix there own shit. We can't hammer their gangster culture down. They have to do that.

Exactly what I'm thinking.

I'm from Europe, never been to America. Got American friends though and I browse a lot of reddit.

And almost always when I see videos like these, either robberies, shootings, loitering, bullying, general obnoxiousness... almost always they're black. Those beating videos where someone gets swarmed and put to the ground, generally teenagers; I don't remember ever seeing one that involved white kids. All blacks. Even saw one today with a father defending her kid from such a thing, they were black.

And even though I know most people in any country are harmless, I can't help myself from looking at America and say "man, would I really want to go there?" unless I really cherrypicked and went only for the safest states / cities. I'm not even including the police brutality thing that's been going around in the ecuation.

These are all problems that Europe doesn't have, or at least not on this scale. Europe is also a bunch of different countries so you can't compare Germany with France like you would Washington and Oregon. Even if you live in Europe and shit's bad, at least you have different cultures you can run to, not just different countries.

And even though it's counter intuitive, eastern europe is a lot safer than the west, speaking as someone from EE (as far as violent crimes go, can't speak for the corruption and general incompetence though)

I live in southern Spain at the moment, there's lots of Algerians and black people from other African countries here and they don't cause even the tenth of the trouble African-Americans do.

And then I start wondering again, if Spain granted them citizenships, jobs and all the rights a native has.. would they still behave the same or would they turn into the blacks I see in America ?

If you pick cities to visit with the least amount of black people, you will also happen to pick the safest cities. Its horrible and it sounds racist, but from a stastistical standpoint, and from a personal experience standpoint, it would be true.

In maine we have had relatively recent influx of Somalian emegrants. The adults are good. I had a teen tell me he was a thug and I better be careful, in very broken english. I told him that he came from the desert not the hood. He was not happy. This was all in maine... they throw responsibility with no effort to except blame for a culture they are trying to assimilate, that doesn't exist here.

So a bunch of white guys drive around in trucks bearing the confederate flag, causing no one harm and committing no crime except being "offensive"... and it makes nationwide news.

Low life blacks do this shit and the media doesnt touch it.

Lets call it "black privilege"

Crime like this isn't uncommon. That's why it doesn't make national news. Teenagers in impoverished areas often become criminals, that is a surprise to no one.

Macon isn't exactly an 'impoverished area.'

Upper middle class if anything. I live 20 minutes away from it

If the issues aren't addressed they'll keep repeating, which is why this is still common, which is why the media needs to NOT ignore it.

[–]Takeela_Maquenbyrd 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

It's weird how I never see large groups of white teenagers from impoverished areas behaving like this (excluding Russia).

It is possible to believe one culture inferior without believing the race making up the majority of said culture is inferior.

Mongolian tribal culture is inferior. Saudi Arabian traditional culture is inferior. Neither racial Mongolian nor Middle eastern people are inherently worse though, we are born genetically equal (for all practical purposes). Why then can we not talk about inner city black culture? Why is any criticize met with accusations of bigotry and racism?

It is not even a matter of black vs. white culture. Because neither group have a true unifying cultural identity. Whites are Irish, Jewish, French, German, Nordic even. Blacks the same. Although not as much, there is a clear distinction between the upbringing of say President Obama or Thomas Sowell and the upbringing of the children in this video. Even between two groups of equal race, income and geographic location, there is a stark difference between south side soul culture and south side crime culture.

Until our political climate allows a comfortable discussion as to why one select group of blacks has such huge criminal tendencies, the problem will persist.

Actually all the data points to racial differences which do point to what one could ascertain as "superior" races, although this depends greatly on your utility measurement model. Of course race models aren't very rigorous, and there's a few gaps in some of the studies, but there are areas where on a racial analysis level people are actually better on average than others. Example: long distance running for Sub saharan Africans, better visual spatial mental scoring in east Asians. There's also cranial capacity cm3 differences on average, which correlate heavily with a larger cerebral cortex with a great goodness of fit within various models. So you should (without emotional bias) include that some races are better than others at things on average. As for the concept of superiority, one could make a rigorous claim for this using economic utility models, and happiness derived from higher income relative to intellectual capacity or emotional intelligence. Conventional liberal doctrine in universities (especially in the USA) have done away with racial difference models as a modicum of respect between racial identity, but they certainly aren't useless models, and within neuroscience and psychology are still a useful model to test hypotheses.

What? No.

[–]Elkram 0

If your basis for your conclusions is the book "The Bell Curve." There is plenty of criticism for it. In, fact an editorial was written and cosigned by 52 experts in the field of intelligence that while not disputing the data, did not support the claims. This was back in 1994 and 1997. In fact, it was such an important part of that book's history it has actually has a pretty extensive wikipedia page, which is quite interesting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainstream_Science_on_Intelligence

Some key points here is that it says nothing of general racial differences, but of American racial differences. There has been no study comparing the races of the world to each other. None. Even when comparing races internally there are still some issues of what exactly intelligence is where a cosigner in 1994 actually said in 1997 in a review of literature that there was no agreed upon definition of intelligence in the academic community. There is also skepticism over some of the points regarding how cultural differences effects how we measure intelligence of different racial cultures.

Superior races physically, maybe. Even then, there isn't 100% correlation to race. Even in intelligence. While genetics does play some part in intelligence, the environment is just as valuable of a factor. Same to for physical attributes. Just ask anyone who trains themselves to lift weights, run a marathon, jump higher, etc. You can train to do anything. Sure, you as an individual may have genetic restrictions, but those genetic restrictions being linked purely to race is not at all supported.

Your culture is inferior to mine. That's why you feel compelled to blame all black people for crime committed by black people, and when white people commit a crime you are completely quiet or blame the victims if they are not white.

[–]calm_rational_debate 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

I did not mean to offend. Please understand, what I refer to as inner city black culture (ghetto) does not refer to all black culture, and does not refer to all parts of stereotypical ghetto culture.

By what metrics do you judge culture? What makes one good and what makes one bad. What would you consider necessary core values. Perhaps we can compare and contrast our two cultures, see what both lack, and improve on errors respectively.

because you can't really split the two cultures apart, it's more complicated than that. Stealing isn't 'black culture', crimes stem from low education and lack of other means of surviving. You can't deny that historically, black people have been oppressed, and even if black people now have the same 'rights' legally speaking, there is an undeniable prejudice towards black people from the rest of society. This prejudice becomes oppression when black people won't get hired, or are mistreated by cops, and this oppression breeds poverty, desperation, and lack of education. People in these situations commit crime, and perpetuate the stereotype. It's a never ending cycle.

Stereotypes exist for a reason. This.....is one of them.

As someone who works for maintenance at Walmart, this is one of my fears. You know that was the first call on the radio. Somewhere between "did you just see that?" and "well, these goes our bonus" jokes.

[–]Crath 2

Why does the bonus depend on this?

Used to work at walmart. Bonuses are like unicorns for non managers.

We had a maximum allowable bonus each quarter, and every time someone was injured, either an associate or a customer, the cost was deducted from the bonuses of all the other associates. Same with "shrinkage".

Shrinkage was basically shoplifting and damaged property. So yes, all of this would have resulted in a lower bonus for everyone.

But, we never got bonuses anyways, it was a joke.

(I think I got 4 dollars one quarter, actually).

Fucked up. The thing with stereotypes and generalizations is that it hurts those who don't fall into that category. It easy to see this and say blacks are more likely to blah blah insert stats and what not. It's easy to group a whole race together and say that they're no good. It's HARD to actually use our brain and KNOW that sweeping generalizations are no good for society. What about the people who fall into that category who work hard at changing the stereotype and who work hard to be the best they can. They grow up hearing the sweeping generalizations and take that to heart. They grow up knowing that what is expected of them is to act like shit and that can sway a young mind. Racism and stereotypes don't help anything they perpetuate a cycle and we all know that, WE KNOW IT'S FUCKED UP. It's easy to hate, it's hard to look at someone for who they are and see the good in them or see the potential that they have when you've got your mind made up about how they should act. Why choose the easy way out and just stereotype an entire race. I've met awesome black people who worked hard to get where they are. They don't deserve to be grouped into a certain category because of the color of their skin. No one deserves that.

kinda sounds like how groups of white people would go around at night lynching black people for fun, and how the cops and politicians only joined in on the fun.
