Do you realize the meaning of consent? What /u/flyhighboy is suggesting is essentially lying to someone just for the explicit purpose of having sex. Tricking someone to have sex with you is NOT okay, never, period. Think about it this way, you order something really expensive on flipkart (like an iPhone) by looking at a picture the seller has posted. There is a certain trust you place in the system which leads you to believe that you are going to receive that expensive phone. Now imagine how would you feel when you receive it and the seller has basically cheated you and sent you a brick. You go online and rant to their customer service but wait a minute the seller has closed his account and is no where to be found. You essentially got screwed over by someone who violated your trust. What would that do to your confidence in online shopping? Essentially, you would be doing the same to the poor person, except that in this case he or she might just get scarred for life and would lose their trust in people forever. And all of this, just because he or she was just trying to be empathetic with someone.

Anyway, even if you think it's an ode to your masculinity that you could brag about to your friends then I'm sorry to burst your bubble but it would have just been a pity fuck, which quite frankly is embarrassing. I'm sure you have more self respect than that.

Nothing of what you said is about consent though. The parent comment wasn't exactly promoting non-consensual sex. People who have consensual sex have misconceptions about their partners all the time. In fact, partners intentionally lie to each other about themselves. Are you going to carry around your self-righteousness, calling them all out? If so, you're the asshole. If not, you're not being consistent.

No, what you don't seem to grasp is that consent doesn't end there. Misleading someone to get their approval is not the definition of consent. Now if both the people involved are okay with it even after realizing that the other person seemingly misled them just to have sex then this whole discussion is moot. However, in the few cases when the guy or the girl feels victimized, it is pretty serious and you're a scum for doing it. What /u/flyhighboy is suggesting can be considered rape, not just in India even anywhere else in the world. What is really disturbing is the fact that you don't see anything wrong with it.
