For the second time, I never tried to excuse the Wehrmacht's atrocities. However your doing a very good job exactly what I pointed out in my first post, demonizing each and every person who wore a German uniform as a bloodthirsty Jew killer. It's because of this type of ignorance that these veterans still have to try to clear name to this day.

also, I have not heard anything about the Allies exterminating Jews in areas they conquered.

And I never said they did...

And take a look at the article: it wasn't just the higher ups that knew. Most soldiers on the Eastern front knew and participated in the murdering of Jews.

I read the entire thing (I've already seen it numerous times before), and I already responded to this in my last comment, there is a difference between a frontline soldier and an occupational soldier,i haven't talked about anyone but those on the front lines.

I have a source for my point, do you have a reliable one for yours?

I never claimed "the Wehrmacht" was innocent, the Wehrmacht is an organization, I was saying many of the individuals within it who got demonized because they were veterans were innocent, you very well bring out the point German veterans have been saying for years, Wehrmacht frontline soldiers are getting demonized for actions the occupation forces behind them did. These occupation forces were picked based on their political ideology, the SS and Wehrmacht occupation forces fought for the Nazi Party, the frontline Wehrmacht forces fought for "the Fatherland", today they get demonized as having knowingly fought to defend what was happening behind their lines.

So, no. They were aware, and had an active part in the atrocities committed by the Nazis.

"They" were aware. Of course the Wehrmacht command and the Wehrmacht units stationed to occupy these areas were aware, but the soldiers pushing the front 75 miles in front of then were not. "They" usually were Nazis, hence the reason they were given an occupation role rather than a frontline one.

I joined right after the Catch grind, only a few pocos remained, I had a ton of fun in the early FAF fleets and then in BroodAlpha's fleets, when he left shit spiraled south fast for me and I moved to FW just as the first shitfest with PL started.

On a serious note on this topic:

Every nation can consider itself lucky when it has a young generation that gives all for country and so selflessly fights as did the Germans in both world wars. No one has the right to reproach us, as we were after the war, even if the ideals that filled us were misused. Let us hope that the present generation is spared the same disappointment as that which was handed to us. The average German soldier had no idea of the atrocities committed during the war. Carrius does a pretty good job of portraying the war from the German side without all the baggage of postwar anti-germanism that's often still shown today.

Eve will always have problems with player retention, Eve's bottleneck is time commitment, you need to dedicate tons of time to the game, it's hard to play it casually. That's where the majority of players are lost and there's not much that can be done to change it without drastically altering the game.

And I wasn't quoting it to knock you, I was pretty sick of Brave at that point, I was making a joke about how long you've been saying that.

I'm pretty much gold free atm, I keep just enough for equipment demounting but I'll have to buy some more soon for free exp conversion, however like you suggested I would never do a free retrain. I do always play with a premium account tho.

The problem I seem to have is that I don't make any significant progress on skills by the time I retrain to the next tank in the line, then I do a credit retrain and have to catch up that 10% and by that time I'm almost ready for a new tank again. Obviously doing a gold retrain like you do would fix that but I'm afraid it'd get prohibitively expensive after a while.

I would suggest you do yourself a favor and at least try the AMX 40, I had heard over and over that it was a horrible tank to grind, but when I finally came to it it turned out to be far and away my favorite t4 tank. Once you understand heavy gameplay come back and try this thing, it's a light tank that for all intents and purposes is a heavy, top tier there are very few tanks that can reliably pen you, even in t5 you'll bounce a ton of shots (I got a steel wall with it in a t6 match). The gun isn't terrible either, you're basically a support tank, follow the heavies and try to get shots on the sides of enemy tanks, I carry 5 rounds of gold and usually switch to it when shooting heavies, so penning wasn't really a problem, and 100dmg may not seem like a lot, but it's 20% of a KV1's hitpoints, you can definitely be a swinging factor in a brawl.

Just a thought from a lurker, but the fact that every thread in this subreddit gets its comments compulsively downvoted tells me there's a much higher percent of this game's trolls/toxics active here than most other gaming subs.
