I think it's also a good reminder that people should pray for a bit before engaging in any discussion on the topic today.

  • The Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary
  • Sext
  • EDIT: can't believe I forgot about Mass

Anything really. It will help refocus you on what is ultimately important: authentic truth, authentic love, and sharing these fruitfully.

Sext

For those like me, this is the Midday prayer of the Divine Office, not taking cell phone pictures of your junk.

no you don't understand...I literally wrote "sext" on my schedule and underlined it to remind myself to do the prayers a little early because of a meeting I had at 12. And my friend looks over, sees 11:45-- Sext, and just sort of shook his head at me.

2 Thoughts.

  1. Key word is falsely. I see way too many people trying to claim that just because they're disliked, that automatically means they're on God's side.

Yeah, no. In this case, we need to stress that Americans are speaking evil against us FALSELY.

  1. The gates of hell... That's defensive language. Hell doesn't rove around with a set of gates. That's not a vanguard.

That quote is saying that we will carry our faith into hell itself and they will not be able to close us out.

Relevant, because it doesn't mean to hole up somewhere as this perfect and isolated Catholic society. It means now more than ever we need to bring out light into America and not be afraid.

Key word is definitely falsely, I 100% agree. I went back to bold it in the OP.

Past the beatitudes are the light of the world and salt of the earth verses, which we are in need of equal reminding.
