it's trying to get language passed in TPP that would make a criminal out of anyone who simply shares or otherwise makes available copyrighted works on a “commercial scale.”

I guarantee torrents, completely legitimate or not, will fall into that category; 1 user posts a "bad" torrent to a legitimate site and boom, the site operators are worse than murders and rapists

I think that is idea. Torrents are seen as "bad tech" basically. As a Linux user, when ever I do a fresh install and download a iso, I use this "bad tech". But I guess to them FOSS is also "bad tech" as it is the inverse of the DRM world they want. Which TPP is also trying to legally inforce.

In my head these pale people sleep in coffins and only drink infant blood of child pressed between wads of cash.

I think they lead excruciatingly normal lives; except when they wake up and wonder what to do with their day, it's on a yacht bought with the compromise of a country's rights.
