This is the wrong place to stand up for bronies. Honestly, nothing is wrong with liking a show aimed at younger people. People, like commenters here, who go "it's for little girls! you're crazy" need to get a grip. It's just a nice show with a nice message and it is like comfort food to some people. If you like it, that's totally fine.

The thing that people have a negative reaction to is the weird subculture of aggressive fedora wearing neckbeards that make their entire identity about being a brony. If that's the kind of brony you are, the kind that never shuts up about it and spends all his disposable income on the toys, etc, then yes, there is probably something wrong with that. It's like atheism. I'm an atheist. But I want nothing to do with the ranting facebook warriors that go out of their way to proclaim their atheism and attack anyone religious. That's the face of internet atheists. And the neckbeard fedora guy with no social skills is the face of bronies.

You'll get no sympathy here, there are a lot of indiscriminate bullies in this sub, but there's nothing inherently wrong with being a brony. Do what you like to do. Just understand that when you take anything too far, people are going to be weirded out by you. And when it's a TV show aimed at young girls, that weirdness is going to manifest a lot faster.
