If it remains as it is, then I believe it won't be banned. The list of more offensive subreddits that gets pasted regularly is evidence that Reddit continues to allow a wide range of discussion. The fact that it wasn't already swept away with FPH bans shows that the decision is specific and not broadly addressed to the topic of obesity as a whole.

This is a reasonable subreddit for discussing obesity and dispelling fatlogic - it's topical news every day, with misconceptions and myths running rampant on social media, television shows, doctors and celebrities promoting crazy pseudo-science solutions, and a cult of people spreading anti-health hoodoo. We can laugh at the absurd, share experiences, dispel myths, discredit some charlatans and hopefully help each other and a few people like the CNN reporter who gave us a nice write-up this week. Those are all perfectly valid uses of this subreddit and this platform, and I sincerely doubt that Reddit has any problem with any of it, provided that we keep things topical and don't use it simply as a platform to humiliate and dehumanize private individuals.
