I was there and it was AWESOME. Saw him at the corner of Broadway and Diversey, was probably 20ft from the cup, closest I've ever been. The crowd went fucking insane, moreso than for any other float/car.

Sopel has always seemed like a really good guy. He had his limitations as a player, but the dude worked his butt off and sacrificed his body to no end. It's seemed like more often than not he was struggling to get back to the bench after shifts from blocking shots.
