I made a color sample of my watercolor paints. Usually I use Winsor & Newton (UK), Holbein (JP) and Turner (JP) watercolor tube paints. This time I'd like to introduce a brilliant transparent Yellow Orange color. It's the Holbein's "Isoindolinone Yellow Deep (PY110)". I often use this color mixing with the W&N Quinacridone Rose (PV19). Its mixture can create a transparent Orange and Red. It's so beautiful. I highly recommend it. Thanks :) #Art #Watercolor

 

I drew a girl and a flower. It's obviously one of the best motifs for my Manga drawing. Well, this flower is a sunflower. It's called "hi-ma-wa-ri (ひまわり)" in Japanese. By the way, it's a bit difficult for me to write "sunflower" by using Kanji. It's "向日葵 (hi-ma-wa-ri)". Could you read it in Japanese? 喜怒哀楽 (ki do a-i ra-ku) is Japanese words. Those are joy, anger, sorrow, and fun in English. To be exact, 喜怒哀楽 would be Chinese letter. We are using them in Japanese sentences as "漢字 (Ka-n-ji)". So, in our usual life we have to learn about two thousand over of Kanji words. It's also not easy for us who were born in Japan. By the way, I have finished learning all of the English alphabets. However, I can't read or write English sentences enough still, because my English vocabulary is very few so far... On the contrary, I seem to forget many of Japanese Kanji words. It's my practice for watercolor artworks. It's the girls with a cherry and an apple. A cherry is called as "sa-ku-ra-n-bo (さくらんぼ)" in Japan. Also an apple is called as "ri-n-go (りんご)" in Japan. Well, I'd like to draw the fruit of sevral kinds. Because I think painting the fruits is one of the best practices of watercolor painting. Although I can't paint the fruits well yet... I drew my original character by using watercolors. And I edited it by using GIMP. The GIMP's color level editor is so great. I could get the colorful artwork from the GIMP editor. The GIMP software is free. I use it on Ubuntu OS. I highly recommended it to the people who want to adjust color of own artworks ;)
