That was so much more painful to watch than the first one

Agreed, but I think the context of the first one is important.

And for more context here's the video that directly leads into the one you posted. So I think it's part 2 of 3.

It kinda seems like he REALLY doesn't take her seriously. Like she has done this a lot of times. She even says he knows she'll be back again. Kinda just seems like she is going on a trip without him and that is their break. I gotta admit, I might be laughing a bit as well. Maybe not in her face, but I might be laughing once she was gone.

He already replied saying he has abandonment issues related to how his mom abused him as a kid. His laughing is nervous laughter and he doesn't know how to react properly.

You shouldn't make judgments because you'll never know the full story though.

you shouldnt expect the internet not to judge, we all judge all the time

People do a lot of things wrong all the time. Doesn't make it acceptable.

I come from a very dysfunctional upbringing. I was physically abused as a child by my mother, so much so that I thought she might kill me.I have always had a problem with women, a huge fear of abandonment. Laura is the best thing that ever happened to me, I just don't know how to deal with separation. I started making videos in the mid 1980, I had 200 videos when I went viral. God told me to document my life. I don't make vids for others to watch, I make them for myself, to act as my memory, so I can see what and how I did it. I wear the rainbow colored clothes that my fans have given me.

I can just see the "Best Of" headline: "OP's asshole puckers after watching cringe-worthy Double Rainbow breakup video. Double Rainbow Guy responds with heartfelt, somewhat rambling retort."

Well, guys, I think we've reached the magnum opus of cringe. It was unexpected, it was meta, and it was uncomfortable for everyone. I think we can basically pack up now.

No! We must outdo it. Quick, someone try to shake my hand!

Why you posting them on youtube if they aren't for others to watch then?

I use YouTube as the best medium to store my content. If others care to watch I am fine with it. People tell me all the time it helps them.

Not sure about him, but I use YouTube as a "Video scrapbook" for when my friends and I play online multiplayer games together, or when I play a game I know has funny moments that happen at random. Sometimes I put them on Reddit for others to enjoy, because it's great, and I talk like I have a fan base in case one day I get one even though it's not my primary goal.

It keeps my hard drive tidy by not having a bunch of footage taking up a ton of space, and I like knowing that somewhere someone is watching, because I like thinking that maybe I could brighten someones day a tad if they are entertained while I keep funny moments with my pals documented so we can laugh at them again later and see it too.

I don't think it's too big a stretch to say others may do it as well. Who knows though.

EDIT: Oh, and I like editing videos. Clears the mind pretty well. I also don't plan on monetizing my videos, because... IDK, im terrified of the legality of it all, and because it's not that big of a deal.

Man I am not a great person to give advice but I'm just a few years younger than you and have also loved and lost. This looked like it hurt and your comment confirms it. There are risks to wearing your heart on your sleeve and your hurt in the open for everyone to see. You must know by now that people who don't care about you will shred you for laughs if you let them. The hurt and emptiness following a breakup makes you an easier target for those types than almost any other time I can imagine. Look out for yourself and stay strong.

Good on you, man, for keepin' on. Sorry about Laura, there's nothing quite as gut-wrenching as losing someone you love, and letting go is the worst. Your outlet for emotion and creativity is great, and you have a fanbase that supports you; keep those things in mind and keep doing your thing. You're a rad dude.

You are the man Yosemite bear, I could see that you record your videos for yourself something that will always keep a time alive. I hope you are moving on great without her. We can only look out for ourselves most of the time in this beautiful cold world. I don't know much about you man, but you got a great smile and your personality seems one of a kind and outgoing. [–]SUSAN_IS_A_BITCH 5ポイント6ポイント  (0子コメント)

Since this video happens right before the one OP originally posted, she probably had already decided she was going to take a break from him. The "You wanna get out of the car?" was to give them time to talk about the break without saying "We need to talk."

Or she was on the fence and his "Do I need to?" pushed her over.

Who. puts. this. on. the. internet!? Who films this? Why is he laughing like crazy in a personal and sad situation? Nothing about this makes any sense. I wonder if he started filming every second of his life after his double rainbow 15 minutes? Ugh, great cringe though.

Thats exactly what happened. I know this guy, personally. After that video, there was news interviews, commercial slots, tosh.o, and even a small bit in a movie. He still makes money from the people who want to use anything to do with double rainbow. But everytime i see him, hes always filming, and is always rocking rainbow themed clothes. Hes a good guy, very caring for the environment and the people who mean the most to him, but i think its time to move on bear.

can you hook up the cliff notes of both these vids? I don't have time at work to sit and listen to both.

don't have time = don't want to get caught watching this with volume up

In the first video he is laughing as his girlfriend, Laura sits there calmly talking to him. She says "Do you need me to say it?" Referring to the fact that they are breaking up. He just sits there looking at the camera, laughing giving half answers while she is trying to have a real moment with him. He tells her to be safe and they both exchange I'll miss you's all while he is laughing and looking at the camera.

In the second one he is dropping her off at the train station, she gets out of the car, he asks her if she has her ticket, she says yes. She then asks him if he is going to get out of the car, to say goodbye. He says "Do I have to?" laughing and still constantly making eye contact with the camera as she looks on with disapproval.

EDIT: I'm psycho so I decided to write it out again with some more detail, fixed error in previous statement

First Video: 0:59 Bear N Laura Time Out 5/15

We see Rainbow man, real name Bear, parked on the side of the road near a red bricked building. His trunk is open providing seats for both Laura and himself. However, these details are the second thing you notice, for a distracting high pitched laughing is immediatly heard as the video begins. The angle provided has Rainbow man in the foreground and Laura slightly behind him.

Rainbow man laughs heartily and he looks at Laura for her reaction, potentially hoping to see a similar one in her. However, it just appears as if Rainbow man has just heard the best joke of his life and Laura finds nothing funny about it.

Laura: "Oh." (She says, mildy frustrated with the interaction, a pinch of sadness in her voice, slightly squinting as if the sun were in her eyes)

Laura: "It seems like you're very eager to have me speak the words, 'we're broken up'."

Birds chirp softly in the background.

Rainbow man laughs harder after she says this his mouth in a smile, yet his teeth do not touch.

Laura: "It seems like that is what you really want."

Rainbow man continues to laugh as he makes eye contact with the camera

Laura: "Is that what you really want?"

Laura leans forward to re-adjust herself.

Rainbow man: "I don't want anything." (He states his matter a factly)

Laura: " Yeah, okay, well..."

A red minivan passes by on the street.

Laura: "Um in my mind..."

Rainbow man: "Yeah." (He says, taking a break from the laughter, making eye contact with the camera, teeth still parted in a full smile, eyes slightly squinted)

Laura: "This isn't a break up but a time out" (She says this while chewing gum)

Rainbow man: "Oh..! A time out!" (He says a little surprised, sarcastically acting as if the stakes have been raised)

Rainbow man looks directly into the camera making an expression of "oooo", rasing his eyebrows and pursing his lips as he reacts.

A green car passes by.

Laura: "But..if..um.. its also a time of reassessment for both of us"

Rainbow man: "Okay." (His voice cracks as he laughs once more)

Laura: "If you...I mean...again..it's like.. I can't control you...you know?"

A silver car passes.

Rainbow man: "Mmhm."

Two men walks the red brick building. Some work from a construction crew can be heard in the background.

Laura: "You have to decide what..."

Rainbow man: "K."

Laura: "What's...what's...what works for you I guess.."

Rainbow man: "Alright."

Rainbow man: "Okay well I hope you're safe."

A white van passes.

Laura: "Thank you."

Rainbow man: "I hope you have fun."

Laura: "Thanks." gum chewing intensifies

Rainbow man: "I'll miss you."

Laura: "I'll miss you too."

Rainbow man: "Ok."

He begins to laugh once more, Laura looks on lightly smiling perhaps remarking how silly he is. The camera shakes a tiny bit and then video cuts out.

Second Video: 0:32 Seconds "Dropping Laura at Fresno Amtrak 5/15

A song that is Depeche Mode-esque is heard blasting through the speaker as the volume is turned down low and finally off.

We see Rainbow man in his car sitting in his driver seat before he turns the camera to show Laura through the window, outside of the car, smiling. She opens the door to get back in the car to grab her backpack. He inquires about her train ticket and she says she has it on her phone and that is all she needs. There is some mumbling and then he makes eye contact with the camera and says a raspy "alright".

Laura: "Do you want to get out of the car?" (Laura says brushing her banged blond hair to the side as she leans across the seat to have this conversation)

Rainbow: "Do I need to?" (awkward laughter errupts from Rainbow guy's lips)

She stares at him with disapproval almost as if telling herself "this is exactly why I have to break up with him" He releases a bemused chuckle as he stares at her. Her face conveys the anguish and the annoyance she feels with him, if her body language could speak it would be saying "really??".

Rainbow: "What?" (He asks as if he isn't aware of how his actions have affected her) lighthearted chuckle

Laura: "Give me a hug or....?" (She lifts her hand in the air in a half wave almost beckoning him and then shakes her head in disbelief of his previous statement)

Rainbow: "Okay." (He turns back to the camera his eyes pierce through the lens, as if he is looking for guidance in a person who is not there, a pained smile fills his face, then he turns back to Laura)

Laura: "'Do you need to?'" (she says this sentence in a mocking manner, but the usual mocking inflection isn't there, for she speaks with a warmness and a calmness that is rare in this world)

Rainbow: "Uh I was just wondering!" fights back laughter

Laura: (However, this next word, as it leaves her mouth, has the usual inflection and chime to it as if it were being said by anyone) "Really?"

Rainbow: "I-I jus- I don't know." (He says, the painful smile filling his face once more, this time even more so, his teeth clench as he turns back to give a fleeting look to the camera)

As he turns his head once more in Laura's direction, laughter leaves his mouth and his camera makes noise as he changes it's direction and eventually shuts it off. The last sound we hear is him laughing as the video points to ceiling of the interior of the vehicle.

Sadly I feel his laughter is a defense mechanism, he might be pretty broken on the inside.

Mhm, this. This is the result of many early Youtube (which was more of a hub for freaks than it was for content-creators) celebrities who achieved fame either against their will or without having any self-awareness.

Remember Mr. Pregnant? Ok, well here he is now -- a "stand-up comic" who teeters on performance art, but is actually a deeply disturbed, sad man hanging onto any thread of attention by means of incoherent ramblings and pun-based humor.

The point is, you seem extremely desperate for attention. The type of people that do that seem to be the type that watch banal tv and have a banal existence so they try really hard to prove they are not banal.

I'm not going to bash you, just want to provide an outsiders perspective. Here's another thing to think about; you were originally viral because people were making fun of your over the top reaction to something pretty common. This is not positive attention. Continuing to draw attention to yourself for more and more bizarre, but ultimately mundane situations is not the sign of a healthy emotional self.

Just saying. No judgement, be yourself man, just know what it looks like.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that "Double Rainbow Guy" just commented on our reddit thread?

I got the first video of somebody understanding that they were in the presence of God. Tens of thousands have sung the words from my video to me and not from a song I sing or wrote. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vheFCJX7tv4&list=PLCgJeOXVn5IdHUVTF0KXLnJM-bzQy-v0y&index=2

If it's The Price is Right, I can do that all day.

Wait, am I remembering it wrong or weren't there some scantily clad women hanging out with Bear in one of the vids shot around the time of Double Rainbow?

Horatio Sanz is looking rough these days. I guess SNL ages you like being POTUS

The guy is in this thread, and he is really, really, really weird.

I love his reaction to an attempted mind game. She keeps looking at him like "Say something! Something to get me to stay." And he just has a good laugh.

Better then the break that he did with the last GF that he had. man that was brutal.

She kind of looks like John Travolta.

Are they in a golf cart?

Is that Horatio Sanz's father?

He clearly does not give a shit.

[–]Galveira [

Well, now he at least has video evidence that they are, in fact, on a break.

ITT: people not realizing that /u/Yosemitebear62 is the guy in the video. He's actively commenting on this right now.
