I think people just look for anything to be offended over now

You just insulted people that are pro-offendedness, or Proffs, as they prefer to be called. EDIT: this just in, they now find the term Proff offensive and prefer the term Perfectos.

I'm offended by the term Perfectos as it is statistically impossible to obtain perfection. You are perpetuating a culture of unobtainable goals. You are literally hittler.

There's really no winning. I wish we could bring comedians together with people that are patient enough to listen to the joke before writing it off. I love going to open mic nights for this sort of vibe. Sure, some of these comics are just being edgy, but that's no worse than pandering. There's an audience for both and in time the good ones even out.

Problem is, any time you get a place where comedians are comfortable enough to just go with it, people prone to feeling offended seem to find their way in. For people that are so sensitive, they seem to just go looking for opportunities to be uncomfortable.

It's like if you have peanut allergies you don't go to Thai restaurants.

When you can't be directly funny, make social commentary. Damn Geoffrey, the audience giraffe/quadraped.

Throw some HAES bullshit in there and you've pretty much nailed all the new fads of being offended.

If a comedian tries to appease the offended, it's his (his not hers just to be sexist) own fault, in the same way McDonald's trying to reach a healthy crowd is stupid cause:

A) You're pissing off your loyal fan-base

B) You're catering to a crowd who will never eat there

I find the beginning of this joke racist

[–]donaldgolden -1ポイント0ポイント  (0子コメント)

I think people are tired of hearing jokes that aren't really jokes but are joke-like comments used to affirm power structures.

This comic makes it seem like there aren't other ways to get a laugh..

And it seems to me that this just tells you how much of a crutch those types of jokes are to comedians.

Don't lament being unable to use power structure jokes... Just come up with new ones.

Really clever, bravo.
