Something that really scares me is how every time a rape case goes very public I //always// see people saying, no matter what evidence, "They must be lying because people always lie about rape." And find ways to make it seem like the victim is lying or the rapist is justified. And that terrifies me because lying about rape is so very uncommon and yet here are people using it as an excuse almost all the time, and dismissing so many victims, regardless of who they are, and that horrifies me.
