Sure. Boys are not allowed emotions besides anger so that is a good place to start. If you have compassion for his sadnesses and vulnerabilities he will be better at expressing them as an adult. He will absorb misogynist ideas and when he says or does something sexist you can tell him how it hurts women. Most of all just focus on the relationship being close by spending time together. If you aren’t close then he won’t care about what you have to say.
