The New 3DS XL having better battery life along with generally everyone considering the standard XL to be an improvement over the standard 3DS makes me so confused why people are so mad about no standard New 3DS model being released in the states. It seems like a huge case of "I want what I can't have" and like the standard New 3DS would have been absolutely crushed in sales by the New 3DS XL if they'd both come here at the same time. I honestly think that if they do bring the New 3DS here now it would be kinda brilliant, because way more people will buy it now that it's something they "couldn't have" before.

Plus the n3DS has a bigger top screen than the original 3DS. Smaller still than the XLs but a good compromise nonetheless.

That's a good point, bringing in the N3DS now/around the holidays and calling it the N3DS Mini/Micro/Faceplate Edition could potentially work out pretty well. Especially since the general public doesn't seem to know that a smaller N3DS even exists.

I really want the smaller n3ds because I feel like my current OG 3ds is the perfect size for me. I am 6'1" and have gigantic hands as a reference to why I should probably want the XL. My phone is bigger than my 3ds

Same here, I'm still using my OoT 3DS and it's the right size (though the squared-off sides start to hurt after a while).

That and the Pikachu pile faceplate is ridiculously cute.
