"Reddit moderators" is a bit of a broad pronoun which makes it sound like what they say is more important than it is.

I mean, they're the mods of /r/Oppression, which has barely even 2,000 subs.

Well the list of approved subverses was made by the mods of /r/defaultmods. That much is stated in very post I linked.

Any idea where? I don't see it there at all. Definitely not a prominent thread title. I just checked through the top threads and didn't find voat even mentioned in them. It's not exactly a high traffic sub. Even the one thread from a few days ago that's actually about all the FPH and censorship stuff doesn't mention it.

Careful taking claims of a sometimes-satire sub at face value. I can't say anything about the IRC since I don't use IRC, but since he claimed /r/defaultmods and it's not there, I'm skeptical it was in the IRC either.

Jumping in here with my unique insight into this moderator and his attempts to discredit voat over the past 6-8 months.

The mod of /r/oppression eberkneezer was the mod of /r/voat who squatted on this subreddit for several months before the FPH saga he was extremely anti-voat and tried many times to discredit this site all while throwing up the banner of "hey im just neutral in this"

I engaged in arguments over him with for months on /r/voat and suggested that he let in another member of the voat community to co-mod (/r/voat had less than 300 subs back then so it went unnoticed)

In his last sticky as mod of /r/voat he personally called me out as "that crazy guy on voat", I responded with a peace offering.

After nothing but downvotes and silence despite sending private messages to him to reason I decided to dump my full /u/eberkneezer archive and call him out. here is the comment:

This shit is satire, luckily.
But in a nutshell, /r/oppression will from now on only accept links to certain subverses (think subreddit) on Reddit's competitor site Voat.co. These certain subverses are those in which there is a current Reddit mod in charge. Otherwise your link to that subverse will be removed. This is because they consider subverses in Voat.co unsafe unless someone 'familiar' is moderating the content over there.

But as I said, it's all a big joke.

Ezeberk if I remember right is the guy who got a hold of r/voat and started a ton of fake rumors about voat. That guy at least has some sort of grudge against voat. They are saying it is satire yet they will actually enforce this...
