Now notice, that these last few days the drama has not actually died down. Instead we've seen the admins working on what appear to be filters to keep complaints off the front page. Quite clearly the efforts being made are not to reconcile with Reddit's community, but instead to develop ways to hide away such dissent when these bannings happen.

That should speak strongly about where the future of Reddit is heading. For now we must hope that this doesn't continue into a banning spree... Although chances are we won't be aware of it until it's too late, if the changes being made are what I reckon they are.

Either we'll see another round of bannings in a few weeks, and the drama from it will appear significantly quieter, or they'll hold off and wait for excuses before banning anything else. I hope for the latter, but expect the former.

That's the only reason why I'm mad at the admins' decision to ban FPH and other subs. SRS and SRD have done much worse than FPH and nothing ever happens to them.
