Toddlers.. They must have insane theories to justify all the ridiculous things that they do.

Toddler logic is the best kind of logic.

Yeah, they don't believe in object permanence. These crazy whackjobs believe that if you can't see an object, it doesn't exist.

If you think about it. That actually a pretty cool way to live. Very dangerous though, for the survival of a species and what not, but pretty awesome way to live non the less

David Icke.

It's a shame he spoils some of his incredibly well-researched arguments with some crazy theories about the royal family and the illuminati. He's actually a really clever guy, but does himself no favours.

[–]black_flag_4ever 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

I've heard about ten hours of his lectures and yes, he is a bit nuts. His theory: 4th Dimensional Reptilians control hybrid families that run the world for the Reptilians and Reptilians that feed off of evil.

Most people on Reddit. Younger people.

Lizard people. I don't think it is physically possible so that is why I'd say their theories are insane. Otherwise anything within the frame of physical possibility seems less crazy to me.

What kind of theories do lizard people have?

Some lizard people think people are actually mammals instead of lizards in disguise.

[–]Satans__Secretary 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

Personally I wonder if they used to be dinosaurs, but evolved and branched out into different species like we did. That would be interesting.

This is what stops me from supporting the lizard people. They seem progressive sometimes but their views on high fructose corn syrup and cloud seeding really scares me.

I know someone who will believe anything so long as its posted by an obscure enough news source, sees it as his way of getting around 'mainstream media'. He genuinely believes Google are going to take over the world, like Skynet with robots and shit. He started telling me once over pints and it was the first time I've ever stopped him and tried to point out how insane that belief is but he was having none of it. He also spray-paints swastikas everywhere.

He also spray-paints swastikas everywhere.

probably want to stay away.

I definitely never seek him out anyway.

There are people that actually think the Boston Marathon Bombing was staged

And that sandy hook was planned by the government. Like I get the government does some shady shit but willingly slaughtering school children? Or it was all just acted out? Get a fucking grip.

Especially that their reasoning is that it was a ploy to ban guns. If that were the case, the guns would have been banned by now. It just falls apart there.

Yea most users in /r/conspiracy and it an active subreddit around here.

So the people pretended to die, or just that it was done by the secret service?

Unfortunately I know someone who believes this. Apparently "crisis actors", i.e. the same people who were involved with the Sandy Hook massacre (which also never happened apparently), pretended to be maimed/injured/dead.

There is a video on youtube where some crackpot compares these people to other victims, saying they are the same group of people by pointing out jaw lines and other b.s.

I'm not sure of people remember the whole indigo children thing that was big a few years ago, but I've always found it pretty funny.

My mom told me I was an indigo child when I was a kid.

I've also had it told to me. Ate that shit up for a while too then realised that was kinda stupid.

Is this the one where Jenny McCarthy said she cured her son's autism, which she also claimed was caused by the MMR vaccine? I think she ended up retracted the last bit but she connected these two at one point. Oh, and don't forget to thank Dr. Oz and Oprah Winfrey for projecting that.

Not exactly, but close. Basically, you had parents with children that were diagnosed with different forms of Autism and ADHD. So naturally, they'd basically say that their kid was just an 'Indigo Child' and very special and chosen by the gods/spirits/stars, and THAT was what caused the symptoms for their disorders.

it is a pretty Jenny McCarthy thing though.

Yeah, if you're ever bored and looking for a good read about this stuff. The Panic Virus by Seth Mnookin is both hilarious and sad, he does a pretty good job of exposing it all.

People like that Texas governor who think Obama wants to create a police state and take their freedoms and guns away. I have never seen a president actually do less about gun control and that's including both Ronald Reagan and George W Bush.

That there's a new world order, that the free masons are like devil worshipers that infiltrated the catholic church and made the second Vatican which screws over centuries of traditional practices violated by the new order of the church.

Got that from a friend. Edit: words.

They often go hand in hand with the people who think the real Paul McCartney is dead and the one today is just a double. "They even give clues in their music man".

If that be the case, Paul II was an excellent choice anyway, given the longevity of his career.

9/11 conspiracy theorists

What!? Everyone knows it was holograms...or lasers...or the lizard fema freemason illuminati...or something.

I'm glad people questioned it, though. I mean, it really was too much to pull off as a conspiracy, but the idea that the owner could get quadrillions of dollars in insurance money if something happened..... scams like that wouldn't surprise me.

But the jet that didn't really crash, but was diverted and every passenger systematically executed, and all the phony phone call audio before they died.......these theorists don't know when to quit.

A woman I work with buys into ALL the theories, and LOVES to talk about them. She really couldn't stop talking about them, so I had to start shutting her down. In small doses, they're fun to contemplate, and skepticism is healthy, but not EVERYthing is a fucking conspiracy, jesus.

I guess I'd be considered a 9/11 conspiracy theorists. I don't question how the buildings collapsed or any other kind of dumb shit. However, I'm almost certain that Larry Silverstein knew about the attacks before the morning of. He, his son, and his daughter all have come to work at the WTC for years, but on the day of the attacks all three are running late for unrelated reasons and none of them are present that morning. That luck just does not happen. I think it is much more likely that somehow Silverstein knew or at least suspected the attacks would happen that day, decided he wasn't going to go, and told his children not to go. He may not have ordered or conducted the attacks, but I'm certain he knew of them prior to.

My question is: how did building 7 collapse?

Because the building had been completely evacuated by the time it caught fire from debris, and the firemen were ordered to stop fighting that particular fire to divert more resources to the towers that were obviously not evacuted. You can hear the whole conversation in the infamous "pull it" audio recording that conspiracy theorists claim is an order to detonate the building when in reality its a conversation detailing what i just told you.

Look into it and let us know.

Curious, what "insane" theories have you heard? I'm sure they're out there, and I assume the litany of actual evidence isn't what you're referring to.

All of them.

Well, except for the one that al-Qaida planned/plotted the attack. That one is true.

Flat earth theorists. Yes, they still exist.

Let's just put them on a plane and show them that they're wrong.

[–]Acyts 2

Jehovah's witnesses, Mormons, the Amish, anti vaxxers, holocaust deniers, climate change deniers.

The Amish? Are you sure you know what their beliefs are?

I agree with this tone. Of all groups mentioned, I am least threatened by the Amish. I'm borderline jealous of their lifestyle.

Aha Bundling is pretty weird to me. Even though whole, "we're not using any technology after 1853" seems off.

They don't have an insane theory about technology though. They just don't use things that they believe disrupts a close family, is my understanding of their view on technology. That doesn't seem to insane.

Also, is bundling a theory?

Yeah, obviously when God sent his son down as a human sacrifice to redeem the souls of everyone, it wasn't as an independent soul but one comprised of the spirit of the Lord himself, otherwise the suicide of God for everlasting peace on earth would hardly make any sense.

Might get hate for this:

Gun folks..

I live in MO, here we apparently love our guns, want to carry them everywhere, sort of hate/fear black people, namely Obama. And the kicker, would like to see teachers carry guns in school to ward off that potential school shooting... W.t.f.????

I'm a teacher. I know a lot of teachers. I don't think giving teachers guns is a good idea, because, you know, sometimes teachers lose it and throw books or desks around. I don't think adding a gun to that situation is a great idea.

I'm also sure there aren't many teachers around who haven't accidentally left a classroom or cabinet unlocked at least once.

Exactly... Plus i dont know many parents that are okay with non law enforcement professionals that want their kids exposed to guns, if my kids were at a school that had allowed teachers to carry firearms, my kids would no longer go to that school... People are too afraid of extraneous circumstances and assume arming folks would solve it...

I also wonder would a teacher be capable of shooting say a middle school student that brought a gun to school. That might not pan out the way people think it could, you might end up gifting a gunman another weapon. Or the gun, like you said, could accidentally fall into the hands of a student if the teacher misplaces it or forgets to lock it up, i think its ludicrous

I'm a person in favor of guns, but I agree with everything you've said. I don't think teachers should just be able to carry guns, it's too risky for an emotionally disturbed child to possibly get their hands on one. I mean, if the child overpowered the teacher to get it, in a day and age where they can barely even criticize a students behavior, then what happens? It's not worth it. I do believe, however, there should be a police-trained few individuals always nearby the school or in it with a gun on standby to keep the students safe. Set it up a few select administrators can make a quick call to them if need be that also copies over to the 911 line. Fast response time and backup being called in one swoop.

There's still quite a few geocentrical people out there. People who believe the Earth is the center of the universe.

[–]capital_wastelander 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

A saw some people that said theres a huge hole in Antarctica, and hitler had a base or something there. Also theres a sun n the center of the earth according to the same people.

Any pentecostal, creationist, or fundamentalist religious believers of any faith.

When you deny physical reality to hold onto imaginary, baseless fantasies, that's insane. They're all riding the crazy train.

There are some incredibly terrible people out there that say Sandy Hook never happened. They think the parents that lost children are faking it for attention.
