i strongly disagree with you, but i can understand where you are coming from somewhat. the thing is, gender dysphoria is caused by differences in brain structure, meaning that trans people have a brain that is more similar to a sex opposite of their own than it is to their own, so as invasive and creepy the idea of changing the sex of our bodies might seem to us, to them it alivaites a great deal of pain, and just imagine how creepy and invasive the alternative would be? changing their brains? i certainly don't want anyone changing my brain. you can get cosmetic surgery and still be "you," but brain surgery can truly destroy a person at the core of their being.
