We have long been accused of doing things like witchhunting, brigading, and harassing others. To comply with the site rules and to try and keep people here from acting like children I have instituted the very clear and harsh rules against such actions with swift banning of all reported infractions.

There is some difference between the reddit's rules and the rules of the site of reddit. Mainly that the creator of a reddit was previously in full control, it was their sub and they could do with it what they wanted, the freedom within the sub was always subject to the creators ideals; however the ability to create and maintain a sub of any subject that you wanted is the new change.

While previously you could go and create /r/HeilCorporate with your own rules and have complete freedom to do so, now there is a chance that the admins will ban you or your reddit for 'reasons'.

[–]zcc0nonA[S] -3ポイント-2ポイント  (0子コメント)

Why?

If you go to /r/all/rising you might see most the posts about removing her from her position, but few if none of these are on /r/all.

So they put a filter in place to stop people from seeing what the people are upvoting, this is directly the opposite of why I came to reddit, so for me this ruins the site.

Then you have to ask why is there censorship in the first place, and it appear that the admins banned some subreddit that fit vague criteria but not any of the hundreds of others subreddits that fit the same criteria even better. There is now the chance that any subreddit can be banned without recourse for no reason, First they came for...

Not to mention that she has said the site isn't a free speech platform which what the last CEO emphasized it was, and what I had always thought it was.

reddit has lost it's appeal of a place that isn't controlled by a few select group of editors, it is no different then the mainstream or corporate news IMO.

This isn't about what was censored, but censorship itself. This is the only way I can bring attention to this so I am doing it.

Hi that's me. Why did I do this? To protest the censorship on reddit.

In fact I reached out to some other reddits in an attempt to get them to go down for a day or so in protest as well but none seem to care.

Taken from Mod Mail

When I discovered reddit in 2006 it was touted as a socially aggregated news media site, meaning no one person had control over what was on the front page as opposed to the corporate news where editors control the content.

The situation with reddit has changed is a very drastic way that I feel is absolutely unacceptable. I wish to draw attention to this by blacking out the reddit, I would like other reddits to temporarily shut down as well in protest but I won't hold my breath on that.

I argue that at least 95% of a company's bitcoin storage should be in cold storage.

At this point it should be similar to establishing physical control of that cold storage, like a bank vault, if there are any rules on that.

The keys that are used should be a threshold or multisig in the customers favor. They should be generated securely and only the address is ever moved until the coins are to be spent. Secure generation means using shielded electronics, more than 10 feet from walls, in rooms with no outside views or windows. Firmware exploits or hardware viruses could be in some systems that the NSA had access to, can they be trusted?

I'm not sure how to generate the key in a way that each side has access to what they need by not the information of the other party.
