How about we go after the Reddit sponsors? If the Reddit admins are willing to fuck over its userbase to get their hands on that sweet, sweet advertising revenue, well here's what we can do. If the admins thought that their draconian censorship would make this site more packageable to the corporate sponsors, let's make them think again. If it worked for FIFA, it sure as fuck will have an impact on our Glorious Leader. So shall we get this party started? Post the names and contacts of some of Reddit's existing advertisers, and let the games begin! I wouldn't say lie so much as are sadly--often maliciously--misinformed.

And it's not just the HAES responsible for this. The diet, food, fitness, and pharmaceutical industry is notoriously bad about preying on the overweight. Fad diets, miracle pills, promoting 'belly burning' exercises, etc. Even the government is responsible for promoting outdated and unhealthy information.

It's a goddamn minefield out there for people without a history of nutrition education and weight management to fall prey to.

Does anyone know how I can remove a banned subreddit from my subscriptions? I subscribed to /r/fatpeoplehate2/ when it appeared to follow all this drama, but now it is banned - and I can't find a way to delete it from my subscribed subreddits.

It just sits there, at the top, taking up space. There is no unsubscribe button anywhere.

To all who wish to protest the use of censorship on reddit:

While trolling and lulz will get so far, one must consider that there are much more effective actions that can be taken that will make a stand to Pao. For one, DO NOT BUY GOLD!!!!!!!! This action CANNOT be streesed enough. This is how redddit keeps its servers up and running, but more importantly, helps fund Pao and her Censorship Committee. If you want to stall her bullsiht, cutting off gold is the best thing you can do. Along with that, get AdBlock Plus, as that will, as the title states, block ads (gasp!), cutting of funding for the advertisers. If that keeps up, they can withdraw from advertising on reddit, thereby hindering Pao and her goal of monetization. This is for both phone and computer users. Sadly, I habe not found a way to get adblocking on phones, so there is that loophole. Nevertheless, these steps should remain critical in protesting against Pao.You can still troll and lulz as much as you wish (looking at you FPH subscribers), but keep in mind that this will hurt a lot more in the long run. And lastly, keep up the shitstorm, it looks fantastic.

I understand Tyson's statement pretty well and I can see where people can be offended. He states the simplicity of cellular metabolism. Diet does not have a great proponent to energy expenditure since 10% is the contribution. Exercise and physical activity has an expenditure of 15-30% but initiates increases in cellular metabolism. Exercise and physical activity contributes heavily to your resting metabolic rate of 70% giving you the opportunity to burn or utilize calories. In physics, an object in motion requires energy, using energy to make energy, where it's not created or destroyed. So do not conserve it with only 10% of its expenditure but increase your resting metabolism with your physical activity/exercise expenditure via increased catabolism/anabolism. You are not doomed solely on genetics. That's an excuse.
