just watched a series of videos on cnn. they're already saying stuff along the lines of, "see, this is why we need the police to have militarized equipment."

also, the name, James Boulware, has been thrown out as a possible name of the suspect. I can't find the video now but they also used the words: "militia, white supremecy group".

As if military equipment stops terror attacks-- it sure didn't stop VBIEDs in Iraq from taking out convoys. But we all know this administration's policy, which is to "never let a crisis go to waste" when it comes to overstepping constitutional boundaries. Given the history of false flags in America it's not beyond the realm of possibility that this was another contrived event to reign in liberty and expand government overreach. You'd think the government is stupid, but these people really aren't. They know how just dumb the general public is. They know how smart we in the minority are, and they know how much this frustrates our small (but well-informed) movement.

on your point about VBIEDS: I was there from 05-06 and I remember seeing the graveyard of "up-armored" vehicles that were completely wrecked.

If police use them here it'll be mostly to intimidate the masses. Classic show of threat.

One of my friends was an O-3 and had been deployed on those MITT teams. His convoys would get blown up all the time, and his vehicle in particular was routinely getting hit. It's amazing he's still alive (he's out now and dealing with trauma). Someone on his team was feeding intel to the "insurgents" and they never found out who.

He's doing better, but having a hard time adjusting. Hardly recognize him anymore: shell shock is real. He now questions the war, is a 9/11 skeptic, etc., everything, which is good. His experience opened his eyes, and I'm sure many vets can say the same. He's finding his peace through the church and it's slowly working for him.

That's good to read, I'm not a religious person myself, but this kind of work is invaluable and I hope it helps him. It's just unbelievable that we still take the propaganda that wars are cool and fun, while thousands of these heroes suffer from PTSD and most don't give two shits about them.

I hope that for his and others' sake that society learns and stops sending young guys and girls to die in useless wars that only bring suffering and financial gain to the elite.

Not saying this isn't real*, but there's some things that don't make sense.

1) why go through the trouble to make pipebombs only to fire blindly through a window and altering people to your presence and intentions?

2) awfully strange that no one was hurt, save for the purported suspect.

Maybe it isn't. But the whole situation is suspect (four suspects, then one suspect, dozens of rounds fired, bombs, etc., only some glass broken?). Also, it's definitely being used by TPTB to militarize the police even further.
