History of SJW Aggression? (self.KotakuInAction)

I've been reading about other cultures that have experienced SJW aggression and have either succumbed or successfully fought them off. For instance, I hear that comics were destroyed by the crusading SJWs but that atheism successfully resisted. I was wondering if someone could give me a quick recap of the history here, or point me to a post if this has been documented already. Feels like it would be useful to know, and also potentially instructive in studying tactics, circumstances, etc.

The first SJW was arguably Maximilien Robespierre, the architect of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution. During the Terror, you could be sent to the guillotine not only for being against the Revolution, but for not being enthusiastic enough about the Revolution. Robespierre's dream was that this would somehow bring about a "republic of virtue". Eventually, everyone else had enough of his bullshit, so they sent Robespierre himself to the guillotine and cut his head off, which ended the Terror.

Well, no. Robespierre's death actually marked the end of the Reign of Terror and things settled down for awhile after that.

Although, some fifty years later, Karl Marx got his ideas largely from studying the French Revolution and trying to figure out why it went "wrong". That's not "wrong" in the sense of having senselessly killed lots of people, mind you, but "wrong" in the sense of having failed to bring about socialist utopia. Marx's conclusion was that it was because the bourgeoisie had rebelled against the aristocracy, but the proletariat had not rebelled against the bourgeoisie. In other words, to hugely oversimplify, Marxism is partially built on the assumption that the problem with the French Revolution is that it didn't go far enough.

Arguably, I'm not sure we can say atheism/skepticism has managed to successfully fight them off. There are still SJW strongholds, and there are infrequent skirmishes.

You destroy their arguments until they retreat to their "safe spaces" that inculcate wrong think. You recognize and prevent the growth of their "safe spaces" that ban fair discussion. They are a very small minority and can only weild influence by speaking for communities that (unknown to outsiders) aren't allowed to speak to the contrary.
