Wow, KiA of all places just upvoted an admins's response and found is understandable. KiA is now more reasonable than the /r/all hivemind. We are in uncharted territory here.

The prophecy has been fulfilled, the end times are upon us. The four horsemen of the popcornpacolypse have begun their final ride. /r/all is the song that devours the earth.

How could we have been so blind?

[–]lemonfreedomKrazy Kabal Kommunist [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

Cats are sleeping with dogs, rivers are flowing uphill, and Gamergaters are expressing reasonable nuanced opinions

Maybe it's because all the assholes from KiA are out looting shitposting on the front page, leaving the few reasonable ones left in the subreddit.

So KiA was right, admins apologized, and poor /u/Sizzmo is sitting with blue balls and pants around his ankles.

Sorry bud.

As this link shows:

https://archive.is/5LxLK

the sub hadn't been used for two years, and yesterday the FPH people started posting in there.

[–]-Poe-I don't know what's happening but it was the Jews [

And yet the mod Still made the effort to get it unbanned. Guess he just likes scrolling through the old pics.

As you can see by the mod list, all the mods were added only 8 months ago, and they don't seem particularly interested in the whales of the ocean, as you can tell by looking at the subs they mod on their userpages:

/u/BardsDirge, /u/T_Dumbsford, /u/28DansLater, /u/Goatsac, /u/ReBurnInator, /u/ArchangelleShiftless, /u/Noveskan, /u/LongDongFuk, /u/UnluckyLuke (/u/KrustyKritters is shadowbanned).

They mod hundreds of subs like /r/SRSsucks, /r/strugglefucking, /r/subredditcancer etc. (there's even some normal subs like /r/DIY in there).

Edit: changed some /u/s to /r/s.

Pff, it's just the anti cabal.

Still some butter in the comments ;D

There was so much potential though...think if he had just told them they were overreacting. Think of the reaction, reddit would burn even more.

They were right, but are continuing to get excited over a mistake that was corrected (it's the most upvoted post in the sub's history right now).

~OR~ they're continuing the excitement because Reddit doesn't allow edited titles, and the actual Admin comment is burred way down in the comments.

If it wasn't for /u/illuminatedcandle, OP or myself wouldn't know.

Thanks for that link.

I thought it was just a FPH clone

Personally I don't like FPH, but I'm unhappy about this new collective punishment policy.

If some people on FPH were harassing, ban them. If the mods allowed it, ban them too. But don't try to silence 150,000 people because some of them were breaking the rules.

[–]dr_kasper(I came for the lolz, stayed for the drama)

This is great, everyone is just waiting to pounce on either the admins or the FPH crowd. In the 3 years I've been on reddit, I have never witnessed the glory that can be an internet forum gone rogue.

[–]wrc-wolftrolls trolling trolls [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

Last time I saw a rogue forum one of the admins of the site joined the reactionaries and ended up deleting half the site's forums before the head admin was able to step in and restore everything to a week old backup.

[–]StrawberryFieldsforConcern Troll [

/r/whalewatching HAD been taken over by FPH. I personally saw it yesterday. Their last legitimate whale posts had been from 2 years ago, and there were several new posts mocking fat people. The screenshot that OP in KIA posted was from before the FPH invasion.

I doubt that'll be the last innocent casualty in this war.

Yep, that rhetoric is totally called for. Not one bit overdramatic!

[–]TempusThalesDrama is Unbreakable [

I doubt this will be the final person thrown into a concentration camp.

I doubt this will be the final person that the Reddit admins have literally visited, raped, tortured and murdered. This is only the beginning.

[–]OutcastedKilljoyDogecoin ShillJW [

The amount of times I've heard "First they came for the socialist, but I did not speak out" said seriously in this context is embarrassing

[–]CyridiusBetter Red Than Anything Else [

If they actually came for the Socialists they'd be the kind of people cheering from the sidelines.

Well it was wonrgfully banned, if people keep being such dicks for more than a couple of days I could see the admins making more mistakes because I bet this is more work than they can handle, unless they start making global auto bans based on titles or subs, but that will piss everyone off even harder....

[–]andrew2209A very British Teenager [スコア非表示]  (5子コメント)

I don't know how many admins have the power to ban subreddits and ban users from the whole site, but the analogy of fighting a hydra isn't far off. The admins also have the problem of a huge crowd keen to point out all of their errors if they make them.

A battle of attrition. The people mad at the admins might be winning currently, but reddit is still going to be here a week from now and they will probably get tired of fighting, we all know reddit's average user doesn't have a great attention span.

[–]andrew2209A very British Teenager [スコア非表示]  (2子コメント)

I think a lot of the drama will die down, but reddit's main concern would be if all the hate draws negative publicity, especially if the media run a piece on "Toxic community" or something. A lot of the troublemakers will go, but there'll still be some floating around for a fair bit.

I might be totally wrong but it'll be surprised if this gets media attention outside of an article in a mainstream media website, mainly because I don't think there were illegal stuff going on with FPH like it probably was with jailbait and such.

It would be great if it happens tho, that will be top notch popcorn.

[–]_watchingsub mod shillionaire [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

If the admins listening, I will totally do nothing but ban subreddits for you for measly pay. Just start sending me checks and an account and I'll get on it.

It wasn't wrongfully banned because of the admins, it was wrongfully banned because shitheads basically hijacked it and made it another failed FPH revival attempt.

[–]anisaerahButtery schadenfreude is the best kind.

Yes, it was hijacked by FPH, so the admin in question thought it was one of theirs.

[–]thisbaseball1Hail Emperor Norton [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

Yeah, it's not like people here ever used overdramatic rhetoric before... Ignore that one post on the frontpage comparing the drama to an earthquake causing a tsunami.

It's called a metaphor.

Propping themselves up for a big "I told you so!" when KIA gets the boot.

[–]Anne_Franks_Drumkit [スコア非表示]  (7子コメント)

Why is KiA full of fph drama? I thought it was meant to be about video games?

It's for ethics in journalism, censorship etc.. gamergate basically

it's about SJWs taking away everything you love by disagreeing with you.

[–]sydtrontoynbee idea resurrect popcorn on planet SRD

It's full of reactionaries that also happen to play video games

[–]-Poe-I don't know what's happening but it was the Jews [

Because this is all part of the reddit getting taken over and ruined by SJ double jews.

[–]cdstephensMore than you'd think, but less than you'd hope

It's now about being against SJWs in general. The whole "ethics in games journalism" thing hasn't been a focus of the sub for quite a while.

I wasn't fat yesterday, but now I am because of the river of butter. Butter, butter everywhere.

[–]FMecha/r/shitundeletesays shill | SRD Yearbook Project [

/r/whalewatching is private. Also, you mean admins, not mods.

It looks like they were briefly banned, then restored once the admin who banned it realized they'd made a mistake. Then they took the restored sub private.

I love how literally no mouth breather in KiA wants to admit the sub was taken over by FPH.

It was just at 7000+ upvotes now its back at 5000

They could probably hire a team of people full time to ban FPH posts with all the money from gildings they've received in the last day

They're still trying to use the death of one of Reddit's founders to promote their movement. It's pretty sickening considering how the guy was a "SJW" and that he loved the progressive movement. He's basically the opposite of the reactionary "free peaches" movement.

[–]SilverSpookyI'm laughing with you not at you [スコア非表示]  (0子コメント)

Very interesting, and good catch. I've seen people outraged by this all over this afternoon - poor innocent sub caught in the crossfire... oh except it's already been fixed, an admin apologized AND it was brigaded by that sub that never brigades.

Rules/Guidelines:

When submitting drama do not link to the full comments Instead link directly to the comment tree containing the drama. If the comment you're linking to requires some context, add "?context=x" to the URL, where "x" is the number of parent comments you want displayed. If there are multiple drama threads create a self-post containing the relevant links. Linking to full comments is only allowed under special circumstances, and when allowed it must be submitted as a self post. Any link to full comments must be to a submission that ideally has less than 100 comments.

Now they're sinking so low (who even thought that'd be possible?) that they're using the co-founder of reddit, Aaron Swartz, to whine about the so-called-censorship of this site. The most disgusting thing about that is the fact that FPH not only send multiple messages to suicidal people on subreddits about suicide that they should go on and kill themselves, Swartz himself killed himself a couple of years ago. Suuuure, he would've been totally fine with that, guys.
