Hey FPH,
I feel like there's a misunderstanding that I'd like to clear up. Imgur isn't doing anything deliberate against your subreddit. This isn't about our personal beliefs, or anything like that.
You're allowed to post your content on Imgur.
Lots of other controversial subreddits do too, believe me, and that's one thing Imgur is great at -- hosting all types of content.
However, Imgur has it's own community now. We're much more than just the simple image hosting site that we started out as. And with that, we have our own set of
rules
that are distinct from reddit's. When you click the "Publish" button, you're submitting your images to our community, and we don't allow gore, pornography, racism, sexism, harassment, or hate speech there. I feel that's where the confusion is coming from. In fact, even if you did post that type of content to our community, it's the community itself that decides it should be removed via our report button. Imgur is entirely self-policing like that.
We're not doing anything to single you out, we're not policing your content, we're not out to get you, and I didn't even know this subreddit existed before all of this. However, our office dog is indeed overweight, and she's on a diet.
Hopefully this helps clear some things up. Let me know what questions you have. I'm hoping we can get back on track with each other.
