this is bullshit, and op knows it.

reddit was founded on a free-speech, free-thinking platform, and the new "ceo" ellen pao has altered that dramatically based on corporate/statist wishes. "chairman pao" is a puppet, controlled by assholes who want to control and guide perception.

fuck you, op. you know better than this.

It's not even about the content/speech. It's that the subs themselves were breaking Reddit rules. Hate speech isn't against Reddit rules, but targeted harassment and regarding are.

Harassment and brigading aren't free speech. It's not that difficult.

It's that the subs themselves were breaking Reddit rules.

Let's be serious

SubredditDrama and Bestof soley exist to provide a front for brigading.

I've seen posts in minuscule irrelevant subreddits go from 0 points to 1000+ points w/ tons of gold after being linked to by SubRedditDrama/bestof. I've also seen the opposite where someone's comment gets a fucking billion downvotes after being linked to one of those two subs.

It's not that FPH was banned. It's that it was banned for being offensive and no one at Reddit has the balls to just come and say it. If it was about brigading and harassing, they wouldn't have banned a sub with 149 people subscribed and left SubredditDrama with it's 176,000+ subs.

Well, I think we have all we need in this comment thread to prove that the people of FPH are raging assholes.

Reddit isn't a country, it's a place where people post cute animals and awkward memes. Stop putting it on a constitutional pedestal, its admins can do whatever the fuck they want and I honestly hope they're laughing their asses off at all the whiny, pathetic losers who care more about abusing fat people online than anything of real consequence

I don't know what site you're talking about, but when I joined Reddit, I click-signed an agreement that I'm pretty sure said they could do whatever they wanted whenever.

Granted, I didn't really read it.

Reddit = private entity

I love how people who rail against "corporate / statists" who ruin their "free speech" are mostly interested in the "free" part.

Now, I know that fuzzy here has left for the next 'free' site, and will never return, but for those who share his indignation, an acronym I'd like you to learn:

TANSTAAFL

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

If you want your own little home away from home to, I dunno, circlejerk to each other's wittisms regarding overweight people, then PONY UP THE CASH.

Because if you don't have skin in the game, you've got exactly one recourse if your little fap site doesn't let you fap any more: bitch about it, and leave

Because at the end of the day, you're not worth keeping around for the people monetizing reddit, so they're going to be perfectly content to see your backside. They'll make more money by purging you, so why shouldn't they.

But I'm sure your next site will be free of the evils of market forces, and the servers and bandwidth will run on the power of your indignation
