Apparently the criterion for being banned is not the sub's content, but rather its targeting and harassing of individual users. I'm pretty sure SRS has done that, haven't they?

TiA won't get banned, it's too tame. Fph was a special breed of hate that was fun when it first started, but became way too much of a circle jerk and brigade as they grew larger. Trp will probably get banned as well this sub though, which sucks because this is one of my favorites.

I read someone commenting here saying it's to make the site more palatable to advertisers. I think they may be onto something. I mean, it's easy to say "it's the SJWs". But right now, that's because their goals align. I tend to believe that, in the end, if the SJWs become a problem with respect to attracting advertisers, Chairman Pao will ban them, too. It's just easier to make the case that subs like /r/fatpeoplehate and /r/coontown (not yet, but it's coming) are bad and therefore it's easy to throw them under the bus in the name of attracting that sweet advertiser cash.

I was banned from srsgaming for no reason, and the mods refused to answer me when I asked why. I repeatedly asked for an answer, and I woke up to a shadowbanning this morning because I was "spamming the modmail of a subreddit you were banned from."

So mods are free to run their subs however they want with impunity - except when they don't like you.

Yeah, I mean, I get that fat people can be annoying and obesity is shameful and all, but I unsubbed from that one pretty quick. There's a line somewhere between constructive criticism and bullying, and that sub went way beyond that line.

It was unique and no other sub really compares. Not sure it deserved the axe, but I'm not surprised it got it either. I think this is more about the site's image than some SJW agenda, although the SJWs probably think this is their own victory or something.
