I doubt that. A lot of content was hosted via quickmeme before that got banned sitewide, and people just switched to other sites when it did.

Imgur needs reddit for its content, not the other way around.

Completely agreed, but usually when someone gets caught evading taxes he gets a "pay X and we won't sue" deal. They're making an example out of him and that's not entirely fair either.

He drew his weapon when the people surrounded him and the two guys started dancing around like they were going to hit him. One guy reached behind his back and fiddled around for a second or two like he had a weapon at 3:11. If I was a cop I would have been scared by that.

It's still shit policing. I live in Belgium and cops often get surrounded by people when they're agitated. They don't just go around waving their gun to 'control' the crowd. It's counterproductive to say the least, and rather dangerous. Essentially you're saying "I could kill you if I want to " rather than "I'm willing to protect myself".
