Modern "feminists" seem much more concerned about getting men charged with rape for looking at them (stare-rape), men sitting comfortably (manspreading), and glorifying obesity (HAES).

Not all feminists. Just liberal ones.

There's another kind?

I'm a conservative feminist and I care about issues such as this.

Yeah I am as well, you most certainly don't have to be liberal to believe in equality. I don't really like the term feminist, I prefer egalitarian but it's in essence the same thing.

Wouldn't be interesting to attend feminist meetings and then promote a trip to Iran to stand in solidarity with repressed women.

You gather some conservative contributions without revealing that the funding for the free one week trip of female solidarity is actual conservatives calling their bluff.

It would be a fun exercise just to see the excuses that SJWs who hate America come up with not to go to Iran to help out their sisters.

And even more entertaining to see what would happen to those who might actually go.

I would give $20 to stand at the airport and wave goodbye.....

Why would modern "feminists" care about a tough issue like this when it doesn't involve their favorite narrative of corporate men abusing their natural privilege? This issue is an actual civil rights issue, but you will never hear them talk about it because it doesn't concern them.

Feminism in America is largely a domestic issue, ipso facto pointing the finger and saying 'Yeah, well why don't you go half way around the world and protest how awful those people are' is a formulaic and lame attempt at pointing out hypocrisy; something the left has mastered.

Let the downvotes commence.

They don't have to go halfway around the world. They protest and march in their hometowns or on campus about tons of worldwide issues. But many ignore this issue.

Though our First lady is not completely a hypocrite on this front! She chooses to fight "to expand access to girls' education around the world" by taking a tax-funded trip, with her mother and daughters (why not? it's "free" for them!) to those hotbeds of gender inequality and girls being denied an education...

London, Milan, and Venice.

Where I'm sure they will not spend any time shopping for shoes...

I'll concede I don't spend much time tracking the latest feminist protest outings, but it seems to me that these days their number one enemy is the evil hetero normative white male, and deviating from said enemy in pursuit of another type of evil lets the former off the hook.
