Tomodachi Life, 3DS. You populate the island with Miis and create their personalities then feed them/dress them/entertain them. They can get into relationships & have children... once the child grows up, the end credits roll and then you just continue on with your normal gameplay. This is why it frustrated me that people who had never played the game were harping on Nintendo so bad for not including gay relationships/marriages in the game upon its US release. It was simply never going to work as designed.

Since the game is designed to "end" around the maturation of your Mii's baby, Nintendo would have had to completely reconfigure the entire game in order to include gay relationships. And sure, you can say, oh but they could adopt like real life, etc. etc. - yeah that's great, I'm hoping that will be included in Tomodachi Life 2, but you have to understand they can't just completely overhaul an entire game that 1) had already been released in Japan as is, 2) were only localizing and 3) was essentially an untested, new IP.
