I feel very ashamed about the homophobic situation in Lithuania, but I would like to clarify a few points.

A lot of people in Lithuania and not only a Russian speaking minority is watching Russian TV channels and movies in the cinemas constantly. 63% people in Lithuania speak Russian language. As you can see that this ignorant prick doesn't even understand that there is a difference between homosexuals and pedophiles. The same message is constantly broadcasted in Russia. And unfortunately gay people haters in Lithuania usually don't know the difference. So Russia is brainwashing us and since our media is not very powerful (or usually even very professional), we are loosing the informational war also in this field.

I wasn't able to find any survey data, but I get a feeling that usually the haters are without a university degree. They are working class heroes with huge education gaps who tend to believe that the more you hate gay people and pedophiles the stronger man you become.

This is a very good lesson and we clearly need more of them. I hope that it will trigger a huge public discussion and one day we will overcome this national ignorance.

I don't think this has anything to do with Russia. Or at least not anymore. We're getting more western influence than (probably) at any point in our history and at the same time we want to do less and less with Russians. Especially with all the recent events regarding Russia and the rest of the world.

I believe the reason for homophobia is simply deep roots. The old generation is against it (which seems quite common all around the world, due to the world around them for most of their lives), that gets passed on the newer one and then reaches the youngest one. I don't think the cause for homophobia is the current Russian view about it, I think it's just an old view that never had a chance to change. That lack of an open-mind is what might have been Russian-influenced from back in the day. Because let's face it, we often lack tolerance in other places as well, not just homosexuality.

Bottom point though, he should've known better. Being an artist with an international fanbase, who's seen quite a lot of the world and not realizing that speaking out such things will bite you back is, quite frankly, stupid.

Politics (from Greek: πολιτικός politikos, definition "of, for, or relating to citizens") is the practice and theory of influencing other people. More narrowly, it refers to achieving and exercising positions of governance.

He may not speak about governing of people but sure does show theory of other people.
So how does a political bullshit from a 1 DJ/Producer Influence house music?

Submissions must be relevant to house music. That is, they should be relevant to the musicians, including but not limited to their performances and their songs, or to the industry as a whole.

So how is a submission about a political shit that has nothing to do with house music of a house DJ relevant to house music?
I cannot understand how can you put push some fucking DJ/Producer political bullshit from a Political webside as a relevant thing for a subreddit that is about sharing music and events of music

its not about the phylosophy of equal rights because thoes things should remain in the domain of politics as the link itself

While what you state about acceptance is something irrelevant because we are here to Share MUSIC not ampathy. While the link says that the DJ/Producer is a douchebag because of his views i don't give a fuck nor do i see relevance of his behavior regarding house music which has 99000 other musicians that can replace him

So yeah go educate yourself first

Here's an idea - go and learn how central gay culture is to the history of house music, and then re-read the rubreddit rules that explain that posts are not limited to purely posting music, but also to include things about the industry as a whole (like, you know, a headline act blowing up his own career, being kicked off his agency, and cancelled by loads of festivals).

If you still can't work out why this story is relevant to a subreddit about house, then its not education you are lacking, its brains.

Also, to educate you on something that might make you happier - there's the "hide" button - I often hide posts from my feed that I know I don't want to look at, if this is not something you want to talk about then just ignore it, instead of writing about 20 replies within it.

Well, the way reddit works is that if most people agreed with you, this post would be down voted into oblivion. That's clearly not the case, so get off your high horse.

Ten walls is one of the biggest success stories in house in the last year or two. The house scene has deep ties with the gay community. This may "trigger" you (whatever the hell that means), but I read the sub rules before posting and feel it's relevant to here. If you don't like it, nobody is forcing you to click the link or visit the comments.

I'm not going to reply to you in knobs with your "fuck you" attitude - house is about respect, inclusiveness, love, not shouting at someone because they posted a link on reddit you don't want to see. If you can't see how this story is relevant to house, then honestly I don't think you understand the roots of house music at all.
