To the mods' credit, there isn't a whole lot more they can do to prevent brigading considering the KIA post is a screenshot rather than a reddit link. The problem is that their subscriber base is just so relentlessly shitty that that's not gonna stop them from witch hunting anyone who disagrees with them.

Yeah, Kia is helping us sooo much by brigading our sub. Making every other comment and post a shitpost circlejerk, downvote brigading all of the moderators and any user who happens to disagree with them, which happens to be like 70% of the sub's population. It gets really obvious what's happening when the angriest people in /r/planestside are all complaining about sjws and cancer, flairless, and have no post history whatsoever in r/planetside.

The most they'll be is a strongly worded PM because if they banned KiA it would cause a massive shitstorm as the tyrant and notorious baby-eater Ellen Pao would have finally come to steal their frozen peaches.

As someone who does play Dark Souls, that is not how that meme is used at all. Instead, he was using a different use of trap, one used specifically to refer to trans people.

He knew exactly what he was doing. He is just making up bullshit in an attempt to make it seems like the mods overreacted.

Except that he was actually using it to make a comment on a female poster's body, the exact same way as transphobic people mock others for their body.

If it would have been an unfortunate misunderstanding of irony, that could have been cleared away in a few minutes, he could have explained that that he didn't mean it in that context, and he totally supports transsexuals' well-being.

Instead, he doubled down with bringing up how much shemale porn he has, how being called a trap is a compliment, and "what's so wrong with suicide?"

Well like he says, it's a meme in the Dark Souls community and he frequently plays Dark Souls.

If he plays Dark Souls then he would know that that is not how that meme is used. He was making a joke at the expensive of trans people and he knows it. He is just back pedaling trying to make excuses now.

    For those of you who agree with KIA and think the mod was going 'overboard' and abusing his power, the banned user in question apparently has a history of making trap jokes towards other users and pictures of other users. Also 500 words isn't a lot. If a mod wants to educate someone on transphobia that's cool with me. Better than having no chance of being unbanned at all.

    I miss BCP. Back before the largest NC outfit (goons) ragequit their faction and stacked VS, and the TR had TE ops every weekday, there were massive three way clusterfucks the way the game was supposed to be played. It seemed like that all went to hell when he left. There was literally no point in playing VS, just auto win everywhere due to massive population.

    I keep coming back every few months to check it out and it's just so lame in comparison.

    And the community actually seems more horrible without Buzz around. Like way more horrible.

    He was like a lightning rod for hate and without him soaking all the negativity up, everybody sucks.
