Mods set the tone of the sub, though. And ultimately, everyone there is participating in something titled /r/__peoplehate. How could that ever be worthwhile? It's not that I particularly like "fat pride" or whatever, but this whole image of overweight people as defiantly demanding people be attracted to them and conform to their health needs seems like more of a strawman than reality. I guess people's opinions on this are probably shaped by personal experience, so I can't speak for what might have led you to want to be in that sub, but in my experience overweight people are struggling with a lot more than just pounds and going to the gym enough. There are often eating disorders, histories of abuse, deeply ingrained self-esteem issues that hate does not solve. I know there are way worse subs out there, really racist and sexist and vitriolic shit but if users of FPH like yourself want people like me to judge you based on the content that seeks to help others get better, I think you should make a sub that doesn't have the word hate in it, or the ethos that follows it. Maybe then actual fat people will show up and be inspired and you'll make a difference that is constructive rather than destructive.
