When people say Cis/hetro phobia, misandry or “reverse” racism only hurts feelings and homo/trans phobia, misogyny, and racism kills, I just have one question for them:

Do we have to wait for it to kill someone before people see that it’s bad? Must we wait until a life ends until we see that something is harmful to other people? Are you people so dense that the only way you see an ideology as harmful is is someone to dies over it?

Can’t we nip this in the bud before it has to come to that? The only reason racism, homo/trans phobia and misogyny got as bad as it did was because nobody stomped it out when it just started; everyone condoned it and normalized it, then it got bad. These things develop, nothing is ever going to go from 1 to 100 overnight. The change is so gradual that you don’t even notice it half the time.

Are we just going to sit around and wait until the opposite kills someone to start going “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t be saying/doing these things.”?

Or is social justice even lazier than I thought?
