I'm going to my make millions with my new invention: a fedora with an integrated microphone, speech recognition system, and Wifi connection.

It automatically transcribes whatever the wearer says, it then goes on social media and posts the ramblings under any article with certain keywords (feminism, gamergate, etc.)

I call it the FedoRant.

I'm sure you're going to make millions

in Dogecoins.

That's like 3 bucks and some change. Fuckin' score!

Thats enough to buy a fedora

Don't forget libertarianism! All hail Liberland!

Edit: And now some butthurt libertarian is downvoting everything in my comment history. #justneckbeardlibertarianthings

You know, that's the stereotype but literally every neckbeard I've ever met was those super PC 'progressives'.

If neckbeards seem politically correct to you, you might be biased because you're to the right of Genghis Khan on the political spectrum. Everyone looks like a liberal hippy when you're over there.

But only libertarianism allows them to solve every single problem by using their superior a priori reasoning! Provided you ignore minor inconveniences like...well, reality.

Kasey Jones is just a dum jock who would never treat April like a real m'lady. She's always putting Donnie in the friend zone.

For those wondering. I believe this is from season 1, episode 1 of the TMNT. By the time this scene happens they have met April and she wants to take them to the surface to help her investigate a spree of "high-tech industry robberies." She wants to break the case because up until now, she had been stuck "reporting on fashion shows" which is beneath the young 23 year old's ambitions as a journalist. She hands out the trench coats and hats, after which Rafael does an impression of Humphrey Bogart and says "here's lookin' at you, sweetheart." She calls the turtles by the wrong name and they correct her. This is so that the audience can hear the turtles say their names so they can identify and become familiar with them (though in this episode there are a few instances of turtles speaking with each others voices.)

After they get the costumes, they go about the streets of NYC in a comical "fish-out-of-water" sequence--for instance, a street hustler playing three card monty asks Leonardo to cut the cards, in which he takes out his sword and 'cuts' the table in two.

They venture into what I can only describe as the 'ninja district' of Manhattan. This includes everything from Ninja Pizza to Ninja Dentist (Donatello comments: "Ninja Dentist? Ouch!"). They enter the ninja pizza ("home of the nice slice"). Which is really a front for the footclan. For some reason April walks off while they are eating pizzas with odd toppings because she needs to use a pay phone. She is kidnapped.

The turtles track her to a tall building and confront the foot soldiers on the roof. At the beginning of the fight one of the turtles knock down a foot soldier and the sound he makes indicates these are robots, not people (Raphael says "Clang? Did you say clang?!?!?").

After this revelation the turtles know they can trash these guys without killing anyone. The turtles take off the trench coats and hats because they wont be discovered. Michelangelo says, "All right, LETS PARTYYYYYY" and jumps from behind the door entrance on the roof to battle them. The TMNT theme music starts up and for the first time we see the turtles in their pure ninja glory.

They defeat the foot soldiers and try to head out of the building. However, a voice over the loud speaker repeats "All Foot return to the Technodrome." This is the voice of Shredder. They wonder what the Technodrome is. Donatello comments that he doesnt know but it can only be one way, "DOWN!" As they head down to the basement the building is flooded. They escape back to the roof and swing over to another building on an ersatz zip line made of rope and Leonardo's sword.

After they are safe, the building bursts in a deluge of water (ostensibly killing a lot of people I assume, this is never addressed or even spoken of ever again).

They are back at the lair. April says she finds it unbelievable that she is now friends with "half teenagers and half turtles" (which doesnt make a lot of sense because teenager is an age and turtle is a species. Like there could still be a youthful turtle without it being a mutant ninja turtle, ya know). Then the episode fades out with discussion of gross pizza.

If anyone has any questions about the first episode, please let me know.

TL/DR: HEROES IN A HALF SHELL, TURTLE POWER.

I like how you totally just gave a synopsis of an episode of TNMT based on a single gif for the context.

This is what reddit was made for.

Seems like running a "ninja district" part of town would defeat the point of being a secret ninja. Rest of it checks out though.

"I don't know anything about feminism but let me tell you about it anyway!" --Most of Reddit

I'd say most of reddit is anti-feminism, and by anti I mean anti-extremism but they equate most feminism to extremism.

Yeah well judging from some of the comments I've seen on reddit over the past few years it seems like a lot of people think ANY ideology or movement that even slightly disturbs the status quo is radical or extremist. Unless it benefits them.

Holy shit what did I just wander into? This sub is even better than than I thought!

The sub is a confluence between:

  1. People (who might get called SJWs/betas/cucks/white knights/feminazis/tumblrinas for their beliefs depending on the time of day) who want to mock the hypocrisy and immaturity demonstrated by neckbeards

  2. People who are just here to laugh at fat ugly people

  3. Neckbeards in denial

  4. Neckbeards who aren't in denial but have some self-awareness and who want to laugh at stereotypes

  5. People who really like the M'lady meme

So the comments vary depending on who's online.

I hate when it's just number two. I don't sub fph for a reason. I hate when this sub circlejerks as fph Jr.

i treat this sub pretty much the same way i treat /r/cringanarchy , albeit with political agendas injected here or there. not sure if that falls under any of the stuff you listed.

I would like to point out that you also see this because the ones that care strongly are the ones that post. You can see a thread with 50 people talking about how one race is superior to others, for example, and you will often see someone say something like "why are people from reddit always racist?" when in reality it's just one thread that drew the attention of the minority that think that way.

To be fair, reddit is pretty super racist.

"I don't know anything about feminism anything, but let me tell you about it anyway!" -- Most of Reddit

I had the argument yesterday that comments on reddit are not better than other social medias - Tumblr, 4chan, Youtube, Newspapers comments, 9gag, Facebook, etc. - more or less for this reason. reddit just ass more faux-intellectualism but everyone will basically believe anything that goes their way.

There's no real reason to believe they would be better. Reddit's rise came from the ashes of Digg, and it's not like there's a barrier to entry.

Agreed, but when I said that I was met with harsh criticism from people who can't imagine reddit be even thought to be at the same level as Tumblr, 9gag, Youtube, etc.

God, that's the one thing that probably bothers me more than anything. Even if you post a comment that is 100% clearly a joke, somebody is guaranteed to take it completely seriously and respond with some super-serious contrarian bullshit. All the neckbeards on here are so pedantic and contrarian.

Yeah, if only they could have more of a sense of humor about it, like feminists do.

Thankfully /r/ShitRedditSays/ is there to enlighten us about our misogynistic ways, m'gentlesir.

    this is sarcastic right

says a lot about this sub that I can't tell

This sub is generally very contemptuous of 'neckbeards', but this post hit the front page, so... The rest of reddit is pouring in, leading to more of a mix. The comments are not going to be peaceful and happy.

Fedora's to the white knights or the redpillers?

A red pill is just a disillusioned white knight.

I don't know about that. True white knights think they're actually duty bound to do what they do. They're not the same people as nice guys who are very obviously just trying to get attention.

Not saying TRP is any good but I can't see the connection to TRP and white knighting

Burned out White Knights then go rogue and become beta redpill asshats instead. They're still insecure shits, only now they think women are all conniving spermjackers and think that negging them is how to get into their pants instead of white knighting for them.

It's so funny. Literally no one told them to be a White Knight, but they get so mad when it doesn't work.

If someone is criticizing feminism on reddit it's a solid chance they hate women.

I'm a radical feminist, who believes, in some countries, that oppression should be met with violence.

The women suffering FGM, and by extension, anyone suffering genital mutilation has the right to shoot whoever's doing it in the face.

I criticize feminism because in some cases, it has no teeth. We should be invading countries based on human rights violations. The work in Afghanistan, that at least some girls can go to school, is in the right direction.

    But those aren't fedoras. :(

Here's the thing. You said a "trilby is a fedora." Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that. As someone who is an atheist who studies euphoria, I am telling you, specifically, in atheism, no one calls trilbys fedoras. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you should too. They're not the same thing. If you're saying "fedora family" you're referring to the euphoric grouping of le reddit army, which includes things from neckbearded gentlesirs to highly intelligent intellectual like Smoke Degrasse Tyson, Reddit's Chief Supreme Ambassador of atheism and logic, and myself, the Deputy of Science and Crows. So your reasoning for calling a trilby a fedora is because random people "say that only neckbeards wear fedoras?" Let's get Mountain Dew and Doritos in there, then, too. It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?
