Sorry, can someone ELI5 this to me?

  • Oxford publications are generally regarded as very "scholarly" (i.e., it's not pop history bullshit) and can be said to represent mainstream consensus
  • the Oxford Ultimate Reference Work on the Classical World, by association, is a scholarly work
  • therefore, if said work does not mention Jesus, then wouldn't it be fair to say that to a lot of scholarly and mainstream historians, Jesus is not real?

That being said, are there any entries on.. erm.. mountains, and such, in this book? Just curious if there are any alternative theory on the various deities around the world. Asking for a friend.
