SW Ontario here. That's a large boat around here, but we still have bigger platters. Depending on the contents, it's 30-40 CAD (that one's probably closer to 40 as it's got sashimi and not a lot of rolls).

I wanted to ask what the other person was having as that's my standard order, with space left for some dessert.

Me and my friend shared the dish. The server said it was intended for 4 people, and came with 4 sides. So not only did we finish this but we worked on sides as well. I couldn't finish all that by myself, it was 56 pieces!

Lots of people saying 'you got ripped off'. You may have over paid a little compared to all of their vague descriptions of dishes they got in different cities, but if you enjoyed the sushi and the company at the meal that's all that matters! Relax everyone, sometimes it's just about the experience and people aren't worried about how much of a value their sushi platter is.

Yeah buddy well I'm from Boise Idaho and I can tell you for free that you got suckered. Here I can order a 600 piece sushi set for just 55¢ and the wait staff will even eat it for you while singing only the finest Japanese ballads in dulcet tones

Even if it is a little overpriced if it was good sushi than oh well. Yeah you over payed a little. Its not like he's gonna catch a plane to LA to eat at one of the sushi buffets recommended here. He got sushi in his area and over payed at little. It happens.

Yes exactly! I live in Ohio, I know I'm paying a premium for what is probably just average sushi, but I enjoy it so I deal with it. On the other hand I probably get goetta and cincinnati style chili cheaper than most folks!

Well, I am just outside Washington, DC here and from what I have seen the sushi boat runs $45-$60 in most of the "Asian Bistro" type sushi places. That said, if it was worth it to you, don't sweat whether you got "ripped off" or not. :-)

Our company had a business meeting at a sushi restaurant. We got 130 dollars worth of sushi and it came out on a boat bigger than the table. The boat was probably three times the same time as that boat. It has since been nicknamed the Sushi Cruise ship. I am trying to find a picture of it right now.

That's a 65-70 dollar dish. If you are not on the coasts or in place that is known for good sushi, ie Japan, Hawaii etc, then you got super ripped off.

Looks like a couple of nigiri, sashimi and 2 rolls. In Los Angeles, you can go to an all you can eat Sushi and they'll give you to the same amount for good quality for about 30-50 bucks depending on drinks and stuff.

I went on a date to Fuji's in Portland, Maine about 8 or 9 years ago & we ordered the "sushi boat". It was a hand made wooden boat with sushi all over it and also, a bunch of little doors & hidden compartments that all had sushi hidden inside.

I wish I'd gotten pics then.

95 dollars... Where is this? Price is all relative when it comes to sushi, u generally pay for the quality/freshness. I paid 30 bucks for a boat and 150 for a boat that was smaller. The smaller boat won hands down in term of quality and I'd pay for quality.

A lot of places claim to be sushi, but the quality is so shit that it's not even edible.

That place doesn't offer very large sushi dishes FYI, I have seen boats 4-5 times that size.
