A Boy At School Snapped Her Bra. What She Did Next Is Gold.

by Kera O. -
This story will get you fired up, but I’m certain you’ll be satisfied with the outcome. A female student stands up for her rights and refuses to be bullied…and when the Mom arrives – she defends her daughter’s actions perfectly! Women should not have to deal with these situations, so why allow this to happen to children?
Read on below…

I’m an Emergency Room nurse and we’re not allowed to have our phones on us; they’re to be kept in our lockers. A call comes into hospital reception on a private line for me.
Phone: “This is [Teacher] from [School]. There’s been an incident involving [Daughter]. We need you to come in.”
Me: “Is she ill or injured? Can it wait until my shift is over in two hours?”

Phone: “[Daughter] has struck another student. We’ve been trying to call you for 45 minutes. It really is very serious.”
I go to the school and am ushered into the Principal’s office. I see my daughter, her advisor, a male teacher, the principal, a boy with blood around his nose and a red face, and his parents.
Principal: “Mrs. [My Name], how kind of you to FINALLY join us!”
Me: “Yeah, things get busy in the ER. I’ve spent the last hour administering over 40 stitches to a seven-year-old who was beaten by his mother with a metal ladle and then I had to deal with the police regarding the matter. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
(After watching him try to not act embarrassed, he tells me what has happened. The boy had snapped my daughter’s bra and she had punched him in the face… twice. I got the impression they were more angry with my daughter than the boy.)
Me: “Oh. And you want to know if I’m going to press charges against him for sexually assaulting my daughter and against the school for allowing him to do it?”
(They all get jittery when I mention sexual assault and start speaking at once.)
Teacher: “I don’t think it was that serious.”
Advisor: “Let’s not over-react.”
Principal: “I think you’re missing the point.”
(The boy’s mother then starts crying. I turn to my daughter to find out what happened.)
Daughter: “He kept snapping my bra. I asked him to stop but he didn’t, so I told Mr. [Teacher]. He told me to ‘ignore it.’ [Boy] did it again and undid my bra so I hit him. Then he stopped.”
(I turn to the teacher.)
Me: “You let him do this? Why didn’t you stop him? Come over here and let me touch the front of your trousers.”
Teacher: “What?! No!”
Me: “Does that seem inappropriate to you? Why don’t you go and pull on Mrs. [Advisor]’s bra right now. See how fun it is for her. Or on that boy’s mother’s bra. Or mine. You think just because they’re kids it’s fun?”
Principal: “Mrs. [My Name]. With all due respect, [Daughter] still beat another child.”
Me: “No. She defended herself against a sexual attack from another pupil. Look at them; he’s nearly 6 feet and 160 pounds. She’s 5 feet and 84 pounds. He’s a foot taller than her and twice as heavy. How many times should she have let him touch her? If the person who was supposed to help and protect her in a classroom couldn’t be bothered, what should she have done? He pulled her bra so hard it came undone.”
(The boy’s mom is still crying and his dad looks both angry and embarrassed. The teacher won’t make eye contact with me. I look at the principal.)
Me: “I’m taking her home. I think the boy has learned his lesson. And I hope nothing like this ever happens again, not only to [Daughter], but to any other girl at this school. You wouldn’t let him do it to a member of staff so what makes you think he can do it to a girl of 15 is beyond me. I will be reporting this to the school administrators. And if you—” *turning to the boy* “—EVER touch my daughter again I WILL have you arrested for sexual assault. Do you understand me?”
I was so angry, I gathered my daughter’s things and left. I reported it to the School Board, several of whom I know, and was assured it would be strongly dealt with.
My daughter was put into a different class for that subject, away from the teacher and the boy.

Young men need to be taught how to respect and protect girls rather than assaulting and embarrassing them. There are some things that are just not fun and should be taken seriously by all concerned, be it adults or peers. I think the girls mother dealt with the case quite maturely and fairly. It could have been worse.

More of our societal brainwashing. We're conditioned to not even notice all the stuff done to guys, and to fall over in apoplexy when much less is done to females. Ever notice how a male getting kicked in the crotch is considered hilarious, and so proper as to be in damn near every cartoon and movie? Ever notice that male full frontal nudity is often R rated, but if you see labia it's X?

So if a girl gives a guy a wedgie, he can then punch her in the nose causing bodily harm? I'm OK with that, as long as it's a two way street.

How about this; how about the same rules for everyone, no matter what they have between their legs? And we teach young PEOPLE to respect other PEOPLE.

Kyle Michel Sullivan your comment is filed with such solid logic as to what makes his post incorrect im lost for words as to how not to agree with your point, next time you want to say something how about you use reasoning instead of declaring his point faulty because you have declared it so, thanks.

Well, they're not saying it couldn't have happened, they're saying it didn't happen.

However, I'd like this story to be true because it's already popular and really good.

middle school bus ride home was terrible.... certain boys snapping bra & touching chest many many times despite no, stop it, cut it out, & hitting them ....no adult intervention....school bus driver certainly knew it was happening cuz I moved to sit right up front...no change in behavior.... heard from adults 'that's how you know a boy likes you'....gack!

I have definitely taught my daughters to say NO loud & clear, to tell an adult, to tell the teacher, to tell me, and to hit back if the first 2 don't work

A few years back while shopping, I had my waist length thick hair down and loose. I felt someone running their hands in it and turned around expecting one of my grandkids to be standing there. My husband was standing in front of me so I knew it wasn't him. There was a man standing there with some of my hair still in his hands. I had never seen him before. I exploded and thought my husband was going to hit him. I asked him what are you doing? His answer I couldn't help my self I just love long hair. Now a female (wife?) was right behind him and yes she had long hair. He didn't understand why I was upset. Now the female was well gifted in the chest area. So I said that means it's ok for my husband to play with her chest? He got upset, my husband grinned. NO he can't touch her! Why not you touched me? But it was just your hair! But that is a part of my body just as her chest is part of hers. He couldn't get away from me fast enough. My husband still grinning started laughing hard. I said no you don't get to play with hers. He said oh I know, but it was funny watching both their faces when they both thought he was going too. So guys keep your hands to yourself while you still have ALL your body parts

My question is, why was SHE put into a different class for that subject? Why wasn't the boy removed instead? Why disrupt her education further than this incident?

I'm sure the mother didn't want her daughter to stay in a class with a teacher who refused to do anything about the boy harassing her daughter. I wouldn't want my child to stay in that class!

I think the idea was to get the girl away from both the boy and the teacher. If the boy was removed instead, the girl would have been left to look at that teacher every day. I don't think she or her mother would like that. She needs a break at least for a while.

I would have thought the administration would have responded more professionally and am disgusted. Should be top down leadership. If the girl asked him to stop and he didn't , really poor performance by those who should be leading in my opinion.

James Reich *This* may not be an actual event. But this sort of behavior is ignored in school's *every day*. It certainly could be real.

Elizabeth Belch Maybe, but I can tell you that nothing like this ever happened in any school that I have been in, nor has it happened in any school that the friends I've asked about have been in, and a few of them are teachers or substitute teachers. Are you able to tell me of a case of this actually happening? Or is it supposed to be one of those common sense things that don't need backing up?

Jean Spoor because he's a male and doesn't understand this happens all the time. He doesn't want to admit that he may have done this in the past and that it's wrong. How would all the males on here felt if a girl and walked up grabbed them by the ___ and twisted as hard as they could. They'd be all upset and throwing fits. Guys popping a bra strap hurts and if you think it's ok, walk over there in front of me and I'll let you learn how it feels from the front side.

This has nothing to do with "male" and "female" and everything to do with mutual respect. Don't try to blame one family's stupidity on anything else.

Steve James how many times as a male has a strange female walked up and grabbed a your underwear and started yanking on it. Or would you like it if she did? And it's not just "one family". I've seen or heard about guys doing this all my life but haven't heard of one girl walking up to a stranger and grabbing his junk and popping it. Unless he earned it by his actions towards her? Guys I went to school with found out fast how dangerous doing that could be. I had good reflexes and at 14 a boyfriend who didn't allow other guys to put their hands on me That was over 42 yrs ago and that same boyfriend/husband still doesn't allow it
