In this post, I argue the concept of "Psychopathy" weakens you by conflating positive and negative traits under one word.

The common definition of psychopathy forces men into one of two-paths.

1) Weakness, if you avoid being 'manipulative' and

2) Being a shitty and lonely person, if you embrace dark triad personality traits that will drive good people out of your life in the long term.

I think the result is a lot of guys struggle to reconcile the efficacy of certain psychopathic traits in seduction (and life) with the fact that they're not fundamentally evil people.

While I agree that unnecessary cruelty is unwise the biggest problem for the beta "Nice Guy" is knowing the appropriate level of punishment to fit the circumstances. Beta minds tend to either offer no punishment (they think it's never correct) or they explode into over reacting cruelty. The proper response is measured punishment to fit circumstances and generally with the intent to keep your role as Captain humming along calmly.

The plan is to emulate the positive traits psychopaths have. You will never manage to think yourself into becoming a psychopath and getting all the downsides. You don't need to become a highly nonfunctional being to get these traits:
Glibness/superficial charm
Grandiose sense of self-worth
Cunning/manipulative

yeah, surprisingly even on this sub you'll read how people's bosses or executives are "mostly psychopaths" and "backstab people to get ahead"

I'm guessing it's the lower-income mindset of the average redditor just carrying over in to this sub, but who knows. in other forums with what I would have thought was a similar user base as TRP, they don't have this poor victim mentality in general.

Psychopathy is truly crazy. I've had cases working with diagnosed psychopaths and they always have a bunch of paranoid fantasies and also have a weak connection with reality.

this post has been needed for a long time. people have been putting it on a pedestal as this wonderful ability. You would never want to be a true psychopath- their existence and tendencies leads them to prison or six feet under by their late teens/twenties. Of course many would want to be a sly, charming, smooth operator who engages in frequent promiscuous sex. however, the truth of the disease is a miserable reality of not caring about anything, including your offspring or siblings. love can make us weak and vulnerable as men, especially in a society as screwed up as Marriage 2.0, but that doesn't mean we should trash the parts of our brain that led to civilized society.

Psychopathy is a term that has been hijacked by armchair psychologists in order to degrade men. The common usage nowadays is to describe any man who hates other people in general, cheats on his wife, lies, etc.
