Hyundai reduced the wholesale price of EllaOne by 5,000 won while raising that of Norlevo 1 by 1,000 won.
EllaOne price was about 10,000 won higher than Norlevo 1. Norlevo 1 sales were about three times higher that Norlevo 1. As EllaOne price goes down, more doctors may prescribe EllaOne.
Norlevo 1 should be taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex, but EllaOne can be taken within 120 hours, 5 days.
An official of Hyundai said, “EllaOne is very effective and safe. The price reduction will have more women use EllaOne, instead of other morning-after pills.”
He added that Norlevo 1 price had to go up as EllaOne price dropped. |
