So, soooo close to being awesome. The TIMango stream was doing some cool stuff. And then /r/dota2

and ruins everything like they always do

EDIT: Backstory for the non-dota players. The International 5, the annual Dota world-championship tournament is in the qualifier stages, so there are lots of streams broadcasting the dozens of tournament games. One stream, TI5Mango, is a lounge stream, meaning it's mostly Dota personalities dicking around and playing word games on stream sometimes with the tourney games going.

At one point, they decided to have their viewers go watch some random smaller streamers and have a good time. After a few of them, they start watching a small hearthstone streamer, double_crosser. She has tons of fun, the viewers from TI5Mango donate around a thousand dollars to her so she can buy a new microphone and she's ecstatic, has a great time and decides to check out Dota 2 for the first time.

/r/Dota2 sees an attractive feeeeemale in the wild checking out their game, she's instantly turned into the latest meme and/or target of worship by the weirdos of /r/dota2 because of course she is.

TL;DR: Twitch chat is actually better than /r/Dota2 for once, donates 1000 dollars to a random person, makes her day and convinces her to try a new game. /r/Dota2 makes it creepy because she's attractive

I've never posted here before but I feel like /r/Dota2 is putting itself and male pc gamers back a 100 years. They do a nice thing, but insist on starting a truck load of memes. In an attempt to make the whole world cringe they named her "Mother of Mangoes" and keep bringing up her appearance "Shes a qt[+335]" (Mangoes are an ingame item).

If they could just not talk about her being attractive then this would actually be pretty cool. But they can't, because the only thing that /really/ matters is if a women turns them on.

I'm just gonna keep playing Tinker, because Dota 2 players clearly don't deserve to have fun.

Try techies instead. Nothing says fun police like making sure people don't leave their lanes until they get a gem because trying to gank, pull, contest runes, or buy from the side shop means you're probably feeding first blood.
