Do you ever have a feminist revelation that makes so much sense in your head, but when you say it out loud people look at you like your from mars or something?

Recently I’ve realized, after reading the Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf, that fat is female.

Fat is an inherently female trait, fat houses female hormones, fat is big asses and big breasts and it gives life to growing babies. Since we live in a patriarchal society, where those in charge want to keep it that way, we are overtly and inadvertently taught to be ashamed of our inherent woman qualities. Fat being one of them. If female equals less than, in comparison to men, then any natural female qualities must also be seen as less than.

An oppressed group is less likely to rise up in protest if they are too busy starving themselves trying to reach an unattainable level of “beauty”. One fifth of women will have an eating disorder in their lives due to this insane ( but completely sane) desire to erase what makes them feminine. To erase what makes them sexual. To erase what makes them a sexual prey.
