I don't think that's a bad response. If they sent her a message on FB, it would go in the dreaded 'other' folder. It makes sense to continue the conversation by email.

While they definitely need to contact them via email, I think it's pretty poor to redirect them like that. Alternatively they could private message them and ask for their contact details so the QCM can call them directly, for example.

Mind you, it's pretty poor for the person to just post on facebook. After reading the facebook page I'll take that back, I'm just being a dick

I don't see how. If companies use Facebook as a customer interface then they should expect to deal with complaints via that interface as well as collecting "likes".

I'm not saying they shouldn't expect complaints - that's what I meant when I said they shouldn't be redirecting her, they should be the ones reaching out (if we're getting strict anyway). I guess it's just personal preference though, I've read the post now and it was pretty polite. I take it back
