I'm hesitant to jump on the anger bandwagon here or to dismiss your argument out of hand, but the screenshots of his texts do not read as a 'haha I did this, have you done some defacing too?' But they are rather more like 'I did some yelling/defacing, do you want to come join me and also bring some friends?' This looks like it falls into the category of provoking rather than hunting for confirmation that someone else has done these things. If we had access to a more complete transcript of the conversation, it could very well mean what you say. However without that, the statements which have been published so far look more like someone trying to get a legally legitimate group to commit criminal acts. The group he infiltrated has not broken the law in any way as far as I've seen so far. If they have, they should be exposed and punished. Barring a release of proof, the entire thing looks seedy and certainly doesn't improve UKIP's brand.
