Anna Fifield, Tokyo bureau chief of Washington Post, became deeply fascinated by the anti-Japan campaign. She tweeted as below:

 Her tweet is problematic from the standpoint of fairness. Because her translation is clearly and intentionally wrong.

 

 The original board is written by Japanese.
『生ビール等、韓国屋台からのお持ち込みはご遠慮ください。』
 If I translate the meaning of these Japanese messages, it will be like this; "Do NOT bring your beer, etc. from Korean Stalls."

 But Anna Fifield translated the message to another meaning. "Don't bring your dirty Korean beer in here",she posted.

 According to Oxford Dictionaries, dirty means 'covered or marked with an unclean substance'. Why does she use the misleading words? Probably she wanted to unnecessarily inflame anti-Japan sentiments.

 This is typically the method of Yellow Journalism. I cannot believe the person like Anna Fifield works as Tokyo bureau chief of the Washington Post.

 

 She excused why the shop wrote "No beer". If she understand Japanese, she might well be able to understand her opinion is nonsense. It means that "Do NOT bring your beer, etc."

 Moreover, if Anna Fifield have the experience of interviewing with the eating places, she must have already known why they ban to bring. In case of food poisoning, the store will be forced to suspend operations. No one welcome to closed. It is the risk management by the operators.

 Her excuse is too late. Anna Fifield claimed it's a joke to use "dirty". If she will permit to say it, the racism never exist in the first place. All it takes is people all over the world understand 'racism is joke'.

 Anna Fifield should quit the job. She is the least qualified person as a journalist. She will write "The Threat to Press Freedom in Japan" sooner or later, forgetting her own faults.

 

 It is clear that who is the threat to Press Freedom in Japan. Shame on you, Anna Fifield and the Western media!!
