I agree. Trixie is fine but she never really proved herself on the show. Her return was underwhelming and only proved your point more.

Many of the queens from the show need to realize just how important their fans are. I've always enjoyed queens more that treat their fans well. Detox, Willam, Adore, Darienne, and Milk have been some of the nicest queens when it comes to meeting fans and their meet n greets. I've had the chance to meet all of them (except Milk and Darienne) twice and each of them went out of their way to really spend time with fans each time. Both times I've seen Willam and Adore those two have been out before and/or after the show and walking around the club to interact with everyone.

I got to meet Ginger and Trixie at a show with many other queens and those two stayed around a lot longer than favorites like Sharon and Alaska did. Hell, Trixie was at the meet n greet forever, chatting it up with people.

I was at the finale taping and saw Violet leave pretty early from the back entrance once the show ended (I did not personally see Pearl, but others said she left around the same time as Violet did). From what I would guess, they didn't do any meet and greets, which is absolutely their right to do so of course.

However, at around 2AM in the morning as they were leaving the Orpheum Theater, after a fucking week of doing DragCon and preparing for the finale and then going through all of it and meeting fans for hours, Trixie, Katya, and Ginger were so fucking nice to me and my friends. They took photos with us, didn't act as if we were weird as shit to stay around that late at night, and even chatted with us. They did not complain about how tired they were or act annoyed. They smiled and laughed and hugged us.

They're truly class acts that deserve all of the love they get. Ginger might have been shown to be a shady bitch on the show but she and the other two truly appreciate their fans. I love Violet and would be okay with her winning, but I'm #teamginger because she would represent RPDR with integrity.

Yeah, it was admittedly strange, but those of us who paid for VIP (we actually didn't know we did, we just thought we got good seats!) were told we got a "cast photo op", not necessarily a top 3 picture. My thoughts were that they asked whoever was willing to take that extra time. Everyone's tolerance for social interaction and intensity is different, and from what we've seen of the show, Pearl and Violet are much less outgoing than Ginger, Tracy, and Katya. I don't think it's fair that the "everyone was tired" excuse is making the rounds, because it really varies. I don't know, it definitely didn't seem to rub anyone the wrong way that they weren't there, since all three of those queens are fan favorites anyway, and they make meet and greets SO fun and special for every person, even if it was just "walk up, CLICK, walk away, get your photo"

Yes, however, when it comes to "fame", the way you treat your fans is pretty crucial. Tired or not, a lot of those fans have spent a ton of money to be there to see you. If those fans get a "cast photo" then, as part of the cast, your ass should be there. The least you can do is get there and smile for some photos with those who paid. Them not being as outgoing as the others isn't an excuse - they do meet n greets at shows they do all the time. Being gracious to your fans helps keep your fanbase strong. I'm glad some of them showed up and were nice about it, though!

I'm so tired of seeing Ginger get torn apart and dismissed from winning because people prefer Pearl or Violet's esthetic. Pearl is a great queen, but you have to be stupid to believe that she's out performed Ginger or even Violet this season. Downvoting anything postive about Ginger isn't going to get her crowned or increase her likelyhood of her being the winner. A lot of people on this subreddit are like emotional pendulums, swinging from one extreme to another. You don't have to deal with contestants by using absolutes! They are all equally capable of saying and doing shitty things and good things, much like any other human being.

It must be exhausting to go through watching a reality tv competition with that attitude. People take this so seriously and analyze everything to a point where it's just not enjoyable anymore.

I felt so bad for all the queens with the way they set things up this year. Two days of DragCon, rehearsals for the taping on Monday and then seven hours of filming? I understand the reasoning for scheduling everything like this (and TBH I appreciate it because it meant I was able to come from out of town for both events in one trip) but the queens I talked to afterwards were completely wiped out. If I had paid for the meet and greet I would have been annoyed that so few of them stayed but at the same time it's not like they were just blowing it off for no reason. Huge props to Katya, Ginger and Trixie for being such troopers.

True, but I doubt the other queens were going home for a nap, they were probably at other parties. I also think that its just smart to take advantage of your last few days in the spotlight before the season is over. Not really a smart move by the other queens.

Well, all I know is that after the taping I went to a restaurant near the theater and while my friends and I were eating we started seeing the queens trickle out the back door, all out of drag (except for Max). Violet was in a van on her own but the others went in groups of 2-4 and the impression I got from talking to Sasha and Tempest was that they were going to their hotel.

I don't know anything about what the meet and greet situation was supposed to be since I just bought a normal ticket and I totally get why people would be mad that a lot of queens didn't stay and I would be mad too if I was in their shoes but I'm not going to come at them with torches and pitchforks either because even just sitting on my ass in that theater for seven hours was exhausting.

I've got a reunion taping story about Miss Act. I went to the bar and found myself surrounded by a ton of former contestants. I was walking away with glasses of wine (yes, they were both for me - don't judge me!) and came face to face with Courtney, who told me how much she loved my dress. We chatted a bit. I kindly asked her and her friend Magnus not to judge me for double fisting my wine and she assured me that there was none. LOL. She was really funny and nice. I also had fun meeting Darienne, whose cocktail I vowed to guard with my life when she sat it on a table that people kept bumping while she was taking pics with fans.

My personal opinion is that the producers were thinking that her confessionals and shenanigans would give her more praise rather than hate (a la season 3 with the heathers vs boogers). It backfired tremendously.

They probably thought that it would've been taken as snarky, funny shade. Also, they showed mostly one-sided shade which only served to make certain people come off as bitter. The audience has slowly changed with it having gained so much traction in the past few years. It's no longer like in S3 where all the dirty comments thrown about were hilarious to us and nobody took things so seriously. I wont try to simplify or compare the situations any further, a lot of the children just need to take a seat and actually think about what they're saying.

I love violet but I'm kinda disappointed (still want her to win though ).That was a bad move and such unfairness for the fans who paid.

I'm also actually surprised people who paid aren't making a bigger deal.People paid and got 1/3 of what they paid for.They either should be given a proper m&g with the other 2 queens or get refunded for 2/3 of what they paid.

Right now everyone's ganging up on Violet and Pearl for not staying. I Understand the frustration, but agree with /u/protanope that, yeah, it's their prerogative to do so.

So I think that it's not that this reflects poorly on the other two finalists (since they weren't obligated to stay); but rather that it HUGELY reflects well on Ginger and the other two queens for being so dedicated. I definitely think that Ginger is a up a few pegs above them concerning maturity. If I wasn't already rooting for Ginger, I'd be all about her now!

Also I'm living for Morgan.

This is how you get fans, keep them and remain relevant in the drag community for years after your season. If you're not engaging in almost every (if not all) opportunities, you're not going to make it far.

Usually root for the pageant girls, and this is why, their professionalism. But I'm gonna give both Pearl and Violet a pass. Youth doesn't excuse them but it's probably a whole new experience for them, and the fact that they had lines of people at DragCon to meet them can get overwhelming. Tyra may have been a young winner but she did not have to deal with the exposure RPDR has today. I'll be okay with Ginger winning, but despite the Pearlet no-show, I wouldn't pass judgment on either future generation queens just yet.

People are being way too judgemental for ONE incident calling Pearl and Violet UNPROFESSIONAL. Most actions in business are based on progress,intensity and consistency. Its like on a real job, if you miss a day because a situation happens that doesnt mean you are irresponsible unprofessional etc unless there is a pathern and consistency when you are always late every 2 days a week for example. Great for Ginger staying , shes showing her commitment plus girl is working on removing her first impression of drag race and Im sure like Darienne and Phi Phi miss Minj will bounce back from the hate for sure ♥; but for one incident "GINGER WAS RIGHT VIOLET AND PEARL ARENT READY TEAM GINGER FUCK THEM" is ridiculous. Unless something way too overboard happens off the show (missing several shows, bad attitude,legal actions etc) the queens performance on the show is what matters, all those weeks is what they were judged for and what should be used against or in their favor for the win. Just my 2 cents.
