I think we're all tired of the fiasco that began with the "Reddit team" scam, and snowballed into sponsorship ideas, tournament ideas, five streamers with ranked fives. All these extremely low-effort posts that offer only ideas and no action. If you have an idea, put it into action, then post about it. Saying things like "HEY WE SHOULD DO THIS. I CAN'T DO IT BECAUSE IDK BUT HEY SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD DO THIS." is useless. If you just blurt things out, no one will take them seriously and nothing will get done. Act then speak.

Edit: I'm also enjoying reading all of your angry replies. The nice ones are great too, but it's always fun to make people angry over the internet, even if it was inadvertently.

In addition to almost 7 years as a confessed meme addict, I have moderated the largest meme forum on the Internet (at over 2 million subscribers) for over a year. You think I don't know memes? In that time I have removed over 400 posts for not following subreddit guidelines. In addition to my moderation responsibilities I am one of the most active writers on knowyourmeme.com. You think I don't know memes? Then how do I write articles about them on a site called knowyourmeme? Several mainstream blogs have contacted me to ask about the recent meme phenomenon and each has been thankful and enlightened with what I had to tell them. It's not just limited to blogs though. Several companies have asked me to review their meme ads to avoid a failure like Toyota's meme commercial. Just last week a major food company contacted me with a paid offer to help them on a new ad campaign. I declined when I researched the company and saw that they had contributed money to socially conservative groups. It's safe to say that I am one of the world's foremost experts on memes and in fact there is no one I can think of that has a meme resume as impressive as mine.                                       He works in fast food. I'm an Econ major graduating in a week, I know the costs and shit do what this would take. One wouldn't take a "small salary" for this. If you are, that means you aren't intelligent enough to run a team. Regardless, there are too many variables to control for; fundraising, human error, the works.

                                      This is the least reliable "plan" ever. The guy won't know how to allocate what funds he does get correctly, probably has 0 game knowledge so throw knowing which coach is the best out the window, forget about analysts, so you end up with 5 players and no management. Great thing for a week, but next ladder lock is in a very long time. I could control this shit better than him (I'm an analyst for a challenger team right now, it's just not viable for some random to go all gung-ho with this).

                                                                      Honestly almost anything Reddit ran is a terrible idea. For example Reddit's detectives on finding the Boston bombers... What a shit show that was.

                                                                      There are just way too many different opinions and way too many circle jerkers for an opinion that they think sounds decent. So shutting the fuck up sounds like a great thing to do.

                                                                      Basically what happened was someone online said "hey that guy from the bombing looks like this guy" and the internet set out to find the second guy based on little more than racial profiling.

                                                                      Poor kid ended up being an uninvolved, non-muslim student who had been missing for a month. He was found dead after the investigation.

                                                                      Long story short (you can probably find the full story by googling it), a few people had the not-unreasonable idea of consolidating all available images of people at the finish line before the explosion to try to identify the attackers. Many poorly-substantiated theories were built off of blurry screenshots, and innocent people ended up getting death threats.
