White-On-White Crime Strikes Again In Waco

Posted: Updated:
Following a spate of white-on-white violence over the weekend in Waco, Texas, that claimed nine lives and resulted in scores of casualties and over 190 arrests, there has been a marked lack of interest in talking about where the event fits into the epidemic of such white criminal behavior in the U.S. -- despite the fact that every year, more white people are murdered by white people than by any other group.
In recent years, a national pattern has begun to emerge in the wake of shootings in which a black man is killed by a white man. Of course the death is a tragedy, goes the narrative, but the dead man probably provoked the killing somehow -- and more importantly, if you truly care about young black men, why aren't you more concerned about black-on-black violence?
The same pattern doesn't hold even when white-on-white crime unfolds in full view of the nation, as it did in the parking lot of the Twin Peaks Restaurant on Sunday.
Yet white-on-white crime should be a huge concern -- because it’s out of control. Granted, there are 201 thugs off the streets for the time being, but what about the rest of them?
Around 83 percent of white victims in 2011 were murdered by other whites, based on the most recent FBI homicide data.
As many as 3,172 white people were killed in 2011 -- and 2,630 of them lost their lives at the hands of another white person. This is compared to 2,695 black people, 2,447 of whom were killed by another black person.
Elvis would not approve of all this #WhiteOnWhiteCrime !
— Justine (@frumoasaminte) May 18, 2015
Whites lead when it comes to gang violence too: 53.3 percent of gang-related murders between 1980 and 2008 were committed by white people, according to the Justice Department, compared to 42.2 percent committed by blacks. Victims of gang-related violence were also mostly white.
For HuffPost Black Voices, comedian Kerry Coddett asks some important questions about why such horrid violence plaguing the white community can’t be reeled in:
In 2013, whites led all other groups in aggravated assault, larceny-theft, arson, weapons-carrying, and vandalism. When it comes to sexual assault, whites take the forcible rape cake. They are also more likely to kill children, the elderly, family members, their significant others, and even themselves! They commit more sex-related crimes, gang related crimes, and are more likely to kill at their places of employment. In 2013, an estimated 10,076 people died in the U.S. due to drunk driving crashes. Driving while drunk is almost exclusively a white crime because everyone knows black people prefer to drink on their porches or inside their homes.
So why is white on white crime so prevalent, one may ask? Is it the music they listen to? Is it the white divorce rate, resulting in more white children coming from broken homes? Perhaps it's the TV shows they watch or the violent sports they play. More than likely, it is a combination of all of those things, with the exact root cause unclear. What is clear, though, is that not enough people are talking about the crime plaguing the white community. We need to spread the word, holding protests and demonstrations that call attention to this growing matter. Because, after all -- white lives matter, too.
It’s time for a national conversation on how we can help these people alleviate crime rates in their community -- I mean, where are the fathers? -- and it's time for responsible white Americans to step up and condemn the violence.

Ohhhh Julia ... ok so I realize its part of the liberal agenda to try to equate white crime to black. I defend neither. Criminals are criminals! Now you've cited some numbers about white crime being worse than black or black on black. The only problem is, you're treating both demographics as if they make up an equal % of the total population.

The Missouri translation to that is, there are 4 times as many white people in this country than blacks! Therefore if all things were equally bad, the crime numbers should be 4 times higher for whites right? But they aren't, even according to your numbers. If, in 2011, 2,630 whites were killed by other whites and 2,447 blacks by other blacks, those numbers are almost identical and would make sense if the country was say 40% white and 40% black. Again, its not!

Whites do plenty of crime, there are after all, more of them! Lets be honest here though, look at the most violent/dangerous cities in America... Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, Baltimore, St Louis, D.C., Oakland, Camden, Flint Michigan, South Central LA. Notice anything? They aren't exactly white biker strongholds!

Harold, you have greatly over simplified the issue on this as well because your argument also suggests that all things equal such as economic, systemic racism and access to education are equal across the board and it definitely is not. There was even a report on CBS a couple nights ago that after 50 years Brown v Board of Education that separate but not equal is very much alive. Yes you are correct whites do plenty of crime, but by the same methodology to discredit that blacks by percentage of population create more crimes is using the same incorrect assumptions as you are criticizing the so called liberal agenda of blaming white people for all the problems of the world.

Since some of the dead were killed by police, lets see how many stores in Waco get looted tonite. Im guessing zero. Whites are such amateurs.......
    • Justice Must Prevail · Top Commenter
Of course not, the bikers were invited by the local businesses to engage in their unlawful activities on their premises. Even the lead sheriff said so. Thus, if the bikers have a vested interest in maintaining good relations with the businesses, then why would they loot the business.

Notice that white thugs do not warrant leg irons or handcuffs. They are sitting on a curb reading their iPhones. A small fire fight, but the police did not shoot one of them.

Why is it that when it's white on white violence the media calls it a melee, ruckus, fracas, brawl, fistfight, brouhaha, fight, confrontation, shootout, altercation, or a gunfight, but not a riot?

RIOT: a situation in which a large group of people behave in a violent and uncontrolled way

According to Merriam Webster, I'd say that little fracas in Waco, Texas qualifies as a riot.

White on White violence is more prevalent because white people own most of the guns. White on White violence isn't reported in the media because it doesn't have the 'scare' factor going for it the way minorities do. White media like Fox Nooos has conditioned it's viewers for years to fear everything black or brown not White.

YouGov Results in 2010 US Elections
YouGov's general population samples are selected from its panel to match the distribution of demographics and other characteristics in the adult U.S. population: age, race, gender, education, employment, income, marital status, number of children (from the 2010 American Community Survey), voter registration, time and location of internet access (from the Current Population November 2010 and October 2009 supplements), interest in politics, religion, and church attendance (from the Pew Religious Landscape Survey of 2008).
Stratified subsamples (on four demographics) are selected from YouGov's opt-in panel and invited to participate in surveys. Samples are weighted by propensity score deciles estimated from the remaining variables using a case-control logistic regression.
