Those look like cops busting out the window. You got any context?

Yes, the original video is here. He was not complying at a border patrol checkpoint and after being warned several times that he was going to have the window broken if he didn't cooperate the officer broke it to extract him.

How can people like that take themselves seriously? It takes a special kind of dickhead to go into that situation with the full intention of being as difficult and suspicious as possible, spout off laws that you barely have a grasp of, then scream corruption when what you knew was going to happen actually happened.

The driver was in the right. He doesn't have to say anything (Fifth Amendment) and he doesn't have to get out of his truck or allow them into it (Fourth Amendment). This was an interior 'border' checkpoint where the government stops citizens without suspicion and demands their papers. Superficially, these are for illegal immigration, but they all have drug sniffing dogs. Unless dogs can suddenly also smell citizenship, they have no business being there since drug checkpoints are illegal.

I understand you have the right to travel freely without being stopped ect... But its a public road maintained by the state with certain codes and regulations. Why do people think they have a right to not follow those rules?
He stopped. That's all he has to do. He doesn't have to answer questions or allow the government to search his vehicle.

This was an interior 'border' checkpoint. It wasn't actually on any border.

An officer can order someone, driver or passenger, out of a vehicle for safety reasons. So yes, he did have to get out of the vehicle.
There were no safety concerns here, nor was there a suspicion of any crime or civil infraction. What we have is a man who was stopped for no reason and then detained and removed from his vehicle because some cops got butthurt because they hate the Fifth Amendment. These were and are bad cops.
I'm pretty sure there's reasonable suspicion when you pull up babbling like an idiot about opting out of a simple identification check when you're driving what looks like a semi truck at a border.
He wasn't at the border. If he was, he would likely be in the wrong. This is an interior checkpoint that was set up via the Patriot Act. They can be located upwards of 100 miles from any border. The government claims they're for immigration, but they're all filled with drug sniffing dogs. This is interesting since drug checkpoints are illegal; the government can't stop you to check for general illegal activity. (It, unfortunately, can stop you without suspicion for DUI and immigration checkpoints, at least according to the Fourth Amendment hating SCOTUS.)
At any rate, there are a lot of great checkpoint refusal videos out there. They usually last 5 to 10 minutes where the agents get butthurt and go cry to their supervisors because someone won't talk to them. Unsurprisingly, most of these agents think you must answer their questions, hence the butthurt. Apparently they have zero familiarity with the Fifth Amendment.
Most of them probably get "butthurt" because they're just doing their job. It's not as though these border control agents are laying out the policies and the requirements of their position. Berating these employees does fuck all to fix the perceived issue, save for making someone's job more difficult. How about actually doing something productive like trying to change the legislation instead of nonsense like this?
These agents are routinely out there violating rights. Are you aware that they lose their qualified immunity when they violate a person's civil rights? The reason is because they are expected to know they can't force people to do things like talk to the government. Search YouTube for checkpoint refusal videos. The theme you'll find is that the agents routinely tell citizens that they must answer government questions. These people are a huge part of the problem.
But maybe you're right. I mean, remember when all those black people used to sit in diners and demand service? Why did they have to make the jobs of those waitresses harder? They should have just petitioned their legislators, right?

There were no safety concerns here,
Maybe to you, but to an officer there could be a number of safety concerns. This might come as a shock to you, but the police can, and do, issue lawful orders to people all the time, and just because you don't like them or agree with them, it does not mean that you don't have to obey them. Nor are they required to tell you what their safety concerns may be.
Well, you're a cop. You're going to lie. Just like you are right now, even though we have the video. The LEOs here didn't get butthurt until the guy stood behind the Fifth Amendment. They weren't concerned for their safety. Hell, the guy didn't even want to stick around. What did they think was going to happen? He was going to throw a grenade out his window as he pulled off? Please. You're desperate to justify this when you know it's wrong. This guy has a great lawsuit here if he wants it. He had at least two Constitutionally protected rights violated by a bunch of bad, childish cops.

I don't think he was in the wrong here, he should have gotten out and contested the case later. But the policeman wasn't allowed to do that.

He violated at least three Constitutionally protected rights (Fourth and Fifth Amendments and the right to travel freely) all because he was butthurt that his authority was challenged.
Edit: You're so fickle, reddit. I said the same thing here I've said throughout this thread. The butthurt agent violated the man's Fifth Amendment right to remain silent by detaining him for no other reason than the fact that he was silent. The agent then violated the man's Fourth Amendment rights by breaking and entering into his truck. And this whole thing was a violation of the man's Constitutionally protected right to travel freely - and I don't mean just because of the checkpoint itself (which the SCOTUS has incorrectly held up). The man should have been allowed to leave as soon as he declined to answer questions and the agents had no reasonable suspicion of any other crime.

He was under no obligation to comply with anything. The officers here actually violated his Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights. It happens all the time at these Patriot Act-created interior 'border' checkpoints. Americans are literally being stopped while traveling inside the country (which, yes, is a Constitutionally protected right) and asked for their papers. As much as the Internet loves pretending that Godwin's Law trumps all Nazi references forever, it still remains that Nazi Germany did these same things.
I understand that, but why not just comply and get on with your day instead of getting your window busted in and being arrested? Cop wants to search my car? Go for it, I dont have anything to hide.

Give an inch and they'll take a mile. Hence the Patriot Act. Hence the NSA. Hence the TSA. Hence interior 'border' checkpoints. And if you want a practical reason? I don't have time to get stopped and play these games with these goons. I'm glad there are people with enough time to give them shit for violating people's rights.

Thanks. Well-said. It is disgusting what has become of our country. I l retired in the Philippines. It is amazing to grow up and incrementally see how our country is slowly becoming a lockdown. Then I come here and this country has damn near all the freedoms I could want.

You can also check the guy's YouTube page (linked in this thread) for a post interview he does of himself. The agents attempted to delete the footage because they wanted to control the narrative. They failed.
Edit: Here's an article about how these 'border' checkpoints aren't at the borders at all.
