Gamerghazi is more pathetic than GamerGate

Edit: Yikes you guys are really divided on this subject

Edit #2: Alright guys I can't respond more than once every ten minutes now. I get the message!

Edit #3: Since I can't reply, I guess I'll just leave people giving me a list of the horrible things Gamergate has participated in with this:

Gamergate is a pathetic group of nobodies arguing about shit nobody cares about. GamerGhazi is a group diligently following the doings of that pathetic group of nobodies arguing about shit nobody cares about. It's supposed to be a mockery subreddit, but they have some of the pettiest in-fighting. Oh and they're named after the Benghazi incident which is fucking edgelord material.

Anyone involved in Gamergate in any sort of way is the worst the internet has to offer, but Ghazi is the worst because they're losers obsessing over losers.

The mods there are toxic. Got banned there very quickly.

There was that one "involuntary celibate" guy, I think he was more pathetic.

Even though there isn't much of a distinction I think mgtows are like the epitome of loserdom. I have yet to see a mgtow without a history of nothing but stories and complaints about women. You join a movement of men because you think you are too good for women who in reality want nothing to do with you....so you say you don't want women in your life....yet dedicate your entire online identity to complaining.......sigh facepalm

Lol I don't care to argue about it. They're both pathetic and they both provide a ton of laughs.

you mean more pathetic than the people who started a "movement" based on the supposed sex life of a woman they never met, that ended up being not true and wont admit it and call people "based:" unironically? More than the people who took a while to realize that guys movie that lost that competiton to "SJW"s was just a shitty weeaboo movie? lol

I'm on my phone right now so I can't get the bookmark I have on my PC...but every excuse you hear from gg is ITS ABEWT EFIX IN GERNALISM...kotakuinaction did a poll with over 3k respondants.....93 percent answered they were in gg to fight feminists and sjws....less than 5 percent said they were there for only video game related journalism.

And I can't figure out why people don't take gamergate seriously.....hmmm

[–]MoldyDinosaurCucky The Alpha Sock of Puppington [

Is that a challenge because gamergate wins at everything. Always.

They'd have to REALLY step it up to beat Ghazi but I believe in them.

....you mean passed ddoxing...driving to Brianna wu's house to kill her after making a video saying you would then crashing your car.....pedophile coddlers and a never ending orbit of hardcore mess conspiracy theorists and neo nazis hate groups?

Bull fucking shit you can compare ghazi to gamergate.

driving to Brianna wud house to kill her after making a video saying you would then crashing your car

That was actually a troll not a legit person. They did it for some weird as joke to prove some weird ass point.

[–]DuckSosuDoctor Pavel, I'm SRD [

Yeah, that was super weird. He was in for the long game. He had apparently been keeping up that persona for over two and a half years and only came clean about it because some of his "fans" had finally dug up enough information on him that he couldn't feasibly keep up the act anymore.

Oh yeah sure he did buddy he made a series of videos saying how hr wanted to kill sjw because they ruin gaming then was on a driving course to her house (clearly a massive coincidence) and them crashes his car all I'm the name of dank memage.

You should have just used the gg tactic of screaming fallacy 90000 times and then end it with "allegedly"

Don't believe it if you don't want, but it's pretty well known it was some weird ass troll.

Edit: here is a Ghazi thread about it http://np.reddit.com/r/GamerGhazi/comments/2x084t/brianna_wu_responds_to_the_jace_connors_hoax_my/

Not even in GG haha, nice how you assume I am just because I disagree with you.

Or maybe you should actually look up what he's talking about because that particular instance was actually just a troll

Wrecking your car on the way to someone’s house as a joke has the exact same effect on your target as wrecking your car on the way to their house when you are serious.

Gamergate is basically weaponized trolling. Separating the trolls from the "serious" people is pretty much impossible.

I agree that the effects were the same.

This guy was pure troll though, he was in some weird comedy group or some shit. But he was just playing both sides against each other.

I'm convinced that most of the people making threats like that are just trying to perpetuate the blood feud of GG vs Ghazi

Golden mean is golden meme :^)

huh?

"Golden mean" is the idea that both sides are wrong and you (usually alone) are in the superior-center. Like this.

The kind of cheap cynicism that suggests everything is equal because everything is flawed (and it is easy to find flaw in any human endeavor) isn't as good as it might feel. In the example of GamerGate for example, only one side has had extended, mainstream media coverage of its awfulness, and for good reason.

Yes, everybody sucks, we get it. But if that convinces you they're all just as bad, you're kidding yourself. And only yourself.

Huh, never thought of it that way before. I'm actually saying that Ghazi is worse, but I think this still applies to me because I think they're both terrible, right?

Thanks for the explanation. I'll try better not to be an insufferable cunt next time haha.

I wouldn't 180 on that so quickly. There's plenty of "cheap cynicism" in their explanation and criticism of the golden mean. It's a very old concept that has been promoted by religions and philosophies across the globe throughout history.

Wrecksomething attaches the notion that it stems from a desire to feel superior, but you also have to keep in mind that the people who argue against the golden mean also want to feel superior. They want to feel superior to the people they decide are worse than them, and they want to feel superior to the people who say "you both have serious shortcomings."

[–]Gazareth [

only one side has had extended, mainstream media coverage of its awfulness, and for good reason

Let me guess, that 'good' reason is based on facts read in the extended, mainstream media coverage?

Nah, it must be the SJW conspiracy that controls the entire entertainment and news industries and is burying the truth. Keep digging!

[–]Gazareth [

If Gamergate really were the harassment campaign that the media would have you believe, where are the attacks? Where are the coordinated, orchestrated efforts to remove women and minorities from the industry? Where's the fund-raising; parading through the streets; attacking developers and publishers for hiring these women and/or minorities?

I suppose in the end it's more believable that they 'attacked' a select handful of specific, individual women who just so happened to have made poor games, and then GamerGate pretty much just gave up. I suppose they must just be really bad at what this extended, mainstream media coverage would have you believe their main purpose is.
